So some fellow is allegedly angry enough to buy paint and throw it on a memorial but not angry enough to take a sledgehammer to it?

I suspect the vandal works for the police force.

This is true, but paint is a relatively minor vandalism job.

I find it hard to believe that they don't have their own memorial under a camera's watchful "eye".

If someone wanted to commit vandalism, why do something relatively easy to clean up unless you don't want the object to be destroyed to begin with?

The fact that they aren't releasing photos or video is interesting.
