Hey guys I just came accross this Ron Paul themed version of Google!
http://www.thisisronpaul.com
Check it out, it has a good look to it.
Does this mean that Google is supporting Paul's campaign?

No.

It's Google's Custom Search application.

That one says nothing about giving profits to the campaign. I'll stick with www.ronpoogle.com.

So you think the owner is just pocketing all the money????

I dunno. He could be pocketing some of it, or he could be giving it all to Paul and not telling us, or he could be taking it all. Since the other one specifically states what will happen with the money, I'd rather use that.

The WHOIS lookup for that domain gives me an e-mail address.
I'll write and ask.

a lot of employees of google support Ron Paul, in fact, they're one of his biggest contributors.

hmm... don't use that page as a search engine. We don't know who made it because obviously they make money through it.

AND NO, IT'S NOT GOOGLE! Anyone can use Google Custom Search from Adsense and make money!! THE GUY IS MAKING MONEY WHEN YOU SEARCH!

I wouldn't mind helping out a fellow Ron Paul supporter.
I'd rather him/her make money than a non-Ron Paul supporter.
I wrote to the person about hit site, I'll keep you updated with the reply.

Actually, to answer your question, yes, Google is supporting Ron Paul. He's their favorite candidate. Yeah!

Hey guys, the owner of the site wrote back to me, this is what he said:

"Dear Lance,
Thanks for your question. No I am not a Google employee, I'm just a regular guy with the strong conviction that Ron Paul is the best thing that could happen to the USA.
I came accross RonPoogle.com some time ago. I thought it was a great idea, except for the fact that Google prohibits its Adsense publishers to indicate that the proceedings of their websites are going to charity - they view this as an invitation for what hey call 'click fraud' since users will more often than not click on ads just to draw more money in for the specified cause. Unfortunately, I'm sure RonPoogle.com's Adsense account will be inevitably shut down once Google's Adsense team stumbes upon it during their frequent checks.
I plan on donating the money drawn by thisisronpaul.com to his cause as well, but I guess I just cannot say anything about that on the site.
I thought that for this very reason people would not see an incentive to use it at all, but I have seen an absolutely amazing response and the number of Ron Paul supporters that use it each day is increasing exponentially.
Thanks very much for you query, and I hope you keep supporting our candidate!
Regards,

Rob"

So apparently all the money goes to Paul indeed!
