Hi everyone,

It's been some time since I last posted, but I just wanted to share a fun project I've been working on with a couple of friends. In founding The Wry Guys (https://www.wryguys.com/), we set out to create a quality collection of amusing, thought-provoking T-shirts featuring skeptical, liberty-minded, anti-authoritarian content. After months of evening and weekend work, we finally opened our e-commerce store last week:

www.WryGuys.com

We're big believers in the power of humor to “change hearts and minds,” and that was often the focus of the fervent activism that two of us engaged in to support Dr. Paul’s ’08 and ’12 presidential campaigns. We all knew, of course, that the media wouldn’t treat Dr. Paul fairly, so we had a blast distilling “the message” into short, pithy slogans for sign wavings, pamphlets, and such. Perhaps the best example was “Dr. Ron Paul cured my apathy,” which went viral since it really captured the spirit of our unprecedented grassroots movement. Many of YOU contributed substantially to that process, and one thread from those heady days is still pinned in the Marketing Strategy, Influence, and Persuasion forum with an astonishing 20,000+ views:

So the fun experience of brainstorming slogans for the Love-o-lution got us thinking about T-shirts, and the result is The Wry Guys.

With this new venture, we'll continue to promote the Liberty Movement, of course, and as part of that objective, we decided to contribute a portion of the proceeds to two outstanding organizations -- www.Antiwar.com and the Future of Freedom Foundation (www.FFF.org). As you all know, there are many people advancing the cause who deserve support, so it certainly wasn't an easy choice. But the FFF and Antiwar.com have done yeoman's work on behalf of peace and liberty for many years, and these are two of the core outfits whose efforts built the foundation for the Ron Paul Revolution.

So:

With each purchase of our “Ben Franklin on Democracy” Tee (Mens (https://www.wryguys.com/collections/wry-guys/products/benjamin-franklin-democracy-mens-t-shirt)/ Womens (https://www.wryguys.com/collections/wry-gals/products/benjamin-franklin-democracy-womens-t-shirt)), the Wry Guys are donating $5 to the FFF (www.FFF.org).
With each purchase of our “Remember peace?” Tee (Mens (https://www.wryguys.com/collections/wry-guys/products/remember-peace-mens-t-shirt)/ Womens (https://www.wryguys.com/collections/wry-gals/products/remember-peace-womens-t-shirt)), we're donating $5 to www.Antiwar.com.

Well, that's it. We just wanted to pass along this news, and we welcome any thoughts you might care to share.

Thanks for reading.

In Liberty,

The WRY GUYS

Ha, indeed — and believe me, we get it. When we think of this festering pimple of an election, there's not much for freedom advocates to be happy about.

Thanks, Bryan. Our aim is to emphasize quality over quantity, and we have more liberty-oriented designs in progress. Of course, the market (i.e., other people) will ultimately determine if we've succeeded or not, as it should be. In the meantime, we welcome any and all feedback.

Harry Browne's "How I Found Freedom in an Unfree World" is pure gold — a wealth of timeless, sage wisdom in that one.

Yep, that one quickly became a really big deal for me too, when it first came out. I still have my original hardback copy. It's kinda beat up and dogeared now, from being loaned out. I'm happy to have finally found a PDF.

I'll bet I must have given away at least 20 paperback copies of it, to friends, over time. :)

This might just be the most fun I've had since the guerrilla-campaign days for RP in '07-08. :-)
