I just had a co-worker make that suggestion. Said that he was impressed back when Dole was running that he appeared on that show. It would have never occurred to me to vote for someone based on going on a comedy show...

Ron Paul should go on EVERY show you can possibly think of.

imo, there's probably better places to spend his time, since most people I know that watch SNL and other comedy skits don't vote, or only for presidential election.

The show isn't even running right now due to the strike is it? If I am correct that that is the case, then this isn't even really an option.

I agree with that. But he should have priorities too. Big political shows first and foremost...

Other than perhaps a cameo, definitely no -- it would make him into the perceived mockery he has been able to overcome.

No, negatory, absolutely not.
There hasn't been a politician that has been on the show that has been elected.

Maybe after in office like Bush Sr.

I'd love to see him do a cameo in a Digital Short.

Since the writers on strike he could use SNL as an infomercial. And his family and volunteers can do the skits.

Well, Obama has appeared on SNL and he seems to be doing pretty damn good.

Seriously, has anyone seen the Digital Short "Roy Rules!"? I'd love to do a parody of it called "Ron Rules!"

We could let SNL use the Blimp videos though

I don't think SNL has actually hurt them, just to let you know.

Regardless of the audience (voters or no voters), it may be a good idea. They can have some skits showing how Congress actually operate and have Ron Paul play himself. This could help show Ron's humor side. But it is ultimately up to Ron.

When Ron becomes president, I cringe to think how they're going to portray him...

I hate SNL. I used to love it, then I either got old or it just started to suck.

would be a big plus. People love to see their leaders in comedy or other "normal people" situations
