Just saw this - the conservative group Freedom's Watch will spend millions this holiday season on an advertising campaign to thank the troops and then close with a message "don't cut and run on the war on terror." Wonder who is going to benefit from this campaign right before Iowa and NH.

At least NBC is putting up some resistance.

They're called "Freedom Watch" because that's what they're on the lookout for. And if they see it, they send out their armies.

That's funny. What the heck does Iraq have to do with the "War on Terror"?

Are they also going to send out their armies to make sure that your godless commie freedom-hating secular-progressive ass puts the 'Christ' back in 'Christmas'? :p

Sarcasm for those that can't tell...

How someone could think that killing people is a solution to any problem is beyond me.

My take on these ads - too early to attack the dems so who else do they go after? Us!

This is the same approach we saw at the Townhall-sponsored Texas Straw Poll. The problem is - it works. I don't think this ad campaign has anything to do with supporting the troops. It has everything to do with trying to undermine RP's position right before Iowa and NH. We'll see more of this if Ron continues to be viewed as a threat by the Neocons. It may require a response to offset damage.

I watched the bland ad and it could make viewers want to bring the troops home.

Revolutionary war?

people are free to revolt against their government if they do not want it. That is not bad, that is not wrong, that is getting your own freedoms back from tyranny
"for the people by the people"
"every generation should have a revolution"

The ad doesnt even talk about the war. It just mentions saying thank you to the troops, and supporting them. NBC turned it down because of the link to Freedomwatch.com, which is a pro-war site. I can see both sides.
