Somebody should have sued her. She was getting death threats and then went and played congresswoman of the people at that grocery store with no security whatsoever, putting all of those innocent people at risk.

Loughner pleaded guilty to the charges stemming from the rampage on Jan. 8, 2011, in the parking lot of a Tucson grocery store where Giffords was greeting constituents.
A federal official told Tucson News Now that the lawsuit was not in proper form and could be rejected for that reason by a federal judge.

Federal officials confirmed late Wednesday that "another mentally disturbed prisoner in Philadelphia who is impersonating [Jared] Loughner" submitted a hoax lawsuit under the convicted murderer's name seeking $25 million in damages from ex-congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, whom Loughner shot in 2011. Loughner is currently serving a life sentence for six murders, and the fraudulent lawsuit attempted to make it seem like he claims that Giffords is part of the Illluminati and that his head is “full of chips and the evil empire govt is controlling me.”
10 years ago I would have dismissed that out of hand.
