I've been following this site for a few days (as have many of us) and there have usually been a donation post every two or three hours, at the most. However, check out the donations in the last, oh, few mintues:

Now, I don't know if people are listing donations who aren't actually donating, or if everyone who donates (including non-students) is listing their donations (which would make overall donations kinda paltry) but it's pretty damn impressive that there are donations every 15 minutes.

I hope we don't all get our hopes up and then get them dashed on July 16, but wouldn't it be cool if Ron Paul is the top "second tier" GOP funraiser for this quarter? Then "second" might not be the moniker for too much longer...

I'm a student who donated but didn't list. I bet a lot of students haven't, so the actual numbers are probably higher.

In order to post your donation on students4paul.com, you have to post a Donation Confirmation Code given by ronpaul2008.com. I can pretty much guarantee that those donations are real. :)

I'm a student donor and didn't even know about that site until I read on these forums that someone would double my donation if I listed it there. I put my confirmation code on there and posted on facebook and he doubled it.. really cool.

And everybody, he said he will go up to $1,000 for this matchfest, so if you are going to do so, do it now so it can be doubled.

It's not really a blanket double. He doubles up to $50. Still good though.

Yeah... That was me... I made that donation back on June 13, though... Didn't know that website was keeping track of student donations however. So, I added it, though a little late...

Yeah, but he has been tossing in extra for big donations. I'm sure you could convince him to do more than $50 if it is a big contribution.

Most of it is coming from our Facebook group and in all honesty I HIGHLY doubt there are people posting donations that they didn't really donate... IN FACT you need to enter a confirmation numbers in order for it to be passed into Students4Paul.com

Confirmations numbers usually mean legitimacy. Plus I've seen a lot of the people who have donated and in all honesty they are really just that motivated. We thought we'd stop after ~12k then pushed it to 24k and now we're considering trying to get ourselves to completely fund his new office headquarters. Would make for awesome press.
