Lindsey Graham appeared on Face the Nation and declared today< "I believe Donald Trump would be an absolute disaster for the Republican party, destroy conservatism as we know it, we would get wiped out.”

He also told John Dickerson that it would take “generations to overcome a Trump candidacy.”

Graham repeatedly implored John Kasich to either get out of the race or work with Ted Cruz, because for as much as Graham dislikes Cruz, he said at least his colleague is a “real Republican” and a reliable conservative, not an “interloper.”

It's like the murderer's accomplices. Graham says, yeah, I dug the hole, but Trump shoveled the dirt onto the body! Soon Trump's going to be saying, yeah, I shoveled the dirt in, but Graham dug the hole in the first place!

Trump is well named. He didn't invent using the government to trump your competition. He didn't institutionalize using the government to trump your competition. But he sure wants to be the first to cut out the middleman and trump his competition from his very own room in the White House.

At this point, Kasich getting out of the race wouldn't change anything, Trump has this thing in the bag and the only way it could get worse for the GOP is if they tried to pull shenanigans at the convention given how prone Trump's supporters are to punching first and asking questions later. The RNC created this monster, they refused to back somebody who could have actually stopped him (Rand, although most of the Liberty Movement shares blame for that part), they can deal with it.

P.S. - Whatever remnant of conservatism survived the 1990s perished in George W. Bush's first term.

The headline is just as good as a campaign commercial for Trump.

The headline is just as good as a campaign commercial for Trump.

It's also the most accurate headline possible...

This is the 2016 Candidates forum. Trump is a candidate that is leading therefore it is a relevant topic to this section of the forum.

There are many other sections of this forum. You do not have to read this section or topics in it regarding Trump.

But mediate.com couldn't possibly have known that when they wrote that headline...

Because the fact that mediate.com is giving Trump free publicity is so earth-shattering that of course it means that you and openfire must give Trump more free publicity on this forum.

well here's hoping. It was already destroyed by the neo-conservatives like Lindsey. The more neo-conservatives that go down in flames the better.

Good. They have done nothing but aid the Democrats.

Read again, particularly the bold part.

What you said.

The following is Not Acceptable:
- Any effort to promote Donald Trump’s campaign is not within the site Guidelines, per “No promoting agendas that counter our Mission”. This includes efforts to rally other supporters, attempting to convert members, sharing information that would only be important for Trump supporters and the like.

What you said.

There is nothing campaign related in that article that applies to Bryan's guidelines.

If you cannot discuss the front runner then there is no point in having a 2016 Candidates forum. What you and several others are doing in this forum amounts to trying to censor free speech which is antithetical to the beliefs of liberty in what is supposed to be liberty forum.

Except, of course, for the part I bolded.

This has been debunked so many times and in so many ways that the claim now amounts to more spam.

If what you say is true, your spam filter is unconstitutional.

What does "destroy the GOP for generations to come" even mean?

Absolutely nothing. No one would ever rebuild it. Ever. So, it's destroyed or it isn't. Period.

What does "destroy the GOP for generations to come" even mean?

Destroy the republican part while leaving the democratic party intact Brilliant. Also I have said this before, if Trump and his supporters destroy it, it most likely will be rebuilt by old GOPers or Trump people. This is not going to be good for liberty

So true.

"Conservatism as we know it" is nothing more than borrow and spend progressives.

To be fair, Lindsey is not the only one with such fears, there is bi-partisan opposition being voiced:

Romney, McCain: Trump a danger for America's future (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?491242-Romney-McCain-Trump-a-danger-for-America-s-future&)

When both parties call for the same thing, the party is over.

You can say Trump isn't uniting us, but he is certainly uniting the opposition.
