While President Obama admits the divide in the country has increased during his presidency, he says it’s not his fault.

OBAMA: I do all kinds of soul searching in terms of, are there things that I can do better to make sure that we are unifying the country. But I also have to say… that one of my regrets is the degree to which polarization and the nasty tone of our politics has accelerated rather than waned over the course of the last seven and a half years. The tone of that politics, which I certainly have not contributed to.

Of course you didn’t. So who did?

OBAMA: The Republican political elites and many of the information outlets, social media and news outlets, talk radio, television stations have been feeding the Republican base for the last seven years a notion that everything I do is to be opposed.

This isn’t new for Obama. It’s actually earned him the nickname, Blamer in Chief.

OBAMA: As a consequence, if you’ve been watching television for the last month, all you’ve been seeing, all you’ve been hearing about is these guys with masks or black flags who are potentially coming to get you. ISIL is a direct outgrowth of al-Qaeda in Iraq that grew out of our invasion. Which is an example of unintended consequences. Which is why we should generally aim before we shoot. What’s frustrated people is is that I have not been able to force Congress to implement every aspect of what I said in 2008. Well, you know, it turns out that our founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes. As a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world. Now I have made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this video.

Will this be the last time Obama throws someone under the bus? What are some of your favorite Obama blame games?

OBAMA: I’m less interested in passing out blame than I am in learning from and correcting these mistakes to make us safer. For ultimately, the buck stops with me.

Hey Barry, you promised to bring us all together. A lot of us are still very impatiently waiting for your magic. Or was it always just more of the usual political BS?

Now Hillary and Bernie are promising it. Do either one of them have the required magic?

They are equally to blame.

Well, he is correct about the Iraq/ISIS thing.

Yet some GOP senators continue to point fingers towards leader in chief.
