What a great idea! But check this out! You can get a 30 foot Helium Blimp to fly over the site! Any meetup group could invest in this and fly it at every meetup!

it looks like it costs $4K including the graphics!

The 30' blimp is $3595. The advertising piece is $491.

But I like the idea of using the small blimps as icons of the grassroots campaign!

i was also thinking if someone is good at controlling remote airplanes you could put a "Ron Paul for president 2008" banner on the back and fly it around rally's. make sure it's electric so it's not so loud.

Wonder if you could get away with having that in a mall when you are "holiday shopping"

Someone did this.. there's a youtube somewhere.

The banner wasn't structured right though, so it was rarely readable.

You have to reinforce the banner every X feet (inches on a small scale version) so that it pulls tight the way real banner towing planes do it.

Cool! create your own design with included stencil kit.....

I'm half tempted to bring one of these emblazened with Ron Paul to my next Township meeting since they are dragging their feet on voting on changing the unconstitutional 45 day political sign ordinance to one that is unlimited and constitutional, but I am sure I would get arrested for disorderly conduct or something - BUT since it is a political mini-blimp, I wonder if telling me to stop using it or I would be arrested would violate my rights? I know I can bring an RP sign to a Township meeting. They would probably say this is too much of a distraction, but it could make for an interesting political free speech case. Will have to talk to my lawyer about this.

You need to tether them to yourself when outside, they do come with tethers though. Not sure how long.

It would certainly get the attention of all the drunk folks downtown.

Hey a mascot for the get togethers. Or we could use it indoors like at the debates
and buzz hannity, snoponopilis and all the other guys that have been snubbing us.

At the Tea Party as a little tease for the troops.
