This is another slap to the ted, he was ridiculed in the debate for not having any Senate endorsements.

Ted Cruz has apparently burned his bridges with every single one of the other 99 Senators.

Graham's statement to that effect may have been completely classless, but it was also completely correct.

After the way Cruz completely fucked over the one guy who would have stood with him above all others, he has no friends left.

Wow. This will definitely hurt Cruz. Trump was smart by being the first to reach out to Sessions. Too bad Rand didn't do it first.

Cruz toast.

Ted Cruz drops out of Samford presidential forum scheduled for Saturday

"If Cruz — the Texan, the staunch evangelical, the anti-Washington guy — can't win in Alabama and across the South, he can't win," the consultant said. "I've seen polling in the last week that shows Cruz in third in Alabama, far behind Trump and behind Rubio, too.
It might become apparent after March 1st that Cruz's goose is cooked." http://www.al.com/news/index.ssf/2016/02/ted_cruz_drops_out_of_samford.html

Ted Cruz moves all resources toward Texas, his only hope!

The Cruz campaign told Yellowhammer Wednesday night they are pulling out of the Presidential Forum set to be held at Samford University in Birmingham on Saturday,
and will not be holding any other events in Alabama ahead of election day.

I like Trump! I LOVE the way he is stripping the establishment bare naked and there is no hiding place any more. No more masks.

I am just friggin tickled. Very excited to see Cruz either ATTEMPT to bash Sessions or shuffle off with his tail between his legs.

Can't friggin stand Rubio & Cruz.

A little perusal of a spectrum of GOP opinion seems to indicate that this is a death blow for the Cruz campaign. People who were backing Cruz because of his facade of being conservative are taking notice in a big way, because Sessions has actual conservative bona fides, perhaps more than any other figure on the national scene today.

Never mind, he must have been talking about Paul LePage, the governor of Maine. Although Rand should show some balls and endorse Trump now, before Super Tuesday. He should say there are a number of things he does not agree with Trump about. But of all the candidates, he and Trump share more then he and the other candidates do.

Rand isn't endorsing Trump, unless he has to, and it has nothing to do with having balls.

And...with this the inevitability of Trump is sealed. Absent Trump keeling over dead sometime between now and May, it's all over. Cruz was the only one that might have been able to slow up Trump by taking the majority of the bible belt, but that ship has now officially sailed with this endorsement. Rubio will most likely not win a single state on Super Tuesday and will lose his home state by a wide margin soon after, he was beat long before he barely stretched a 2nd place finish in South Carolina.

For the record... Jeff Sessions (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeff_Sessions#Foreign_and_military_policy) is a horrible (http://www.antiwar.com/orig/foley.php?articleid=7467)person, an enemy (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/paul-armentano/obamas-dea-nominee-pledge_b_785630.html)of liberty. As is Rubot, CruzMissle, Trumpster, etc.

Otherwise, just another day, another Trump victory. Don't know why the prediction markets still have him down at only a 75% chance of winning.

The biggest enemy of liberty is the American voter, and they prove it every 4 years when they select a Commander-In-Chief. Then again, there are some divergent views on just what constitutes liberty on this forum that draw into question whether present company would put some on this forum into the "enemy of liberty" camp.

P.S. - If anyone is taking my posts as an endorsement of Trump or in any way as me contemplating a vote for him, this is not what is going on.

You are probably correct on a lot of Sessions' positions. But he was well known and popular for being the only Senator that routinely stood up to the US Chamber of Commerce (and for average Americans). Most people only knew about that, not any of his other positions. And he was very popular because of that.

I don't just love Trump, but I am up to here with the Republican Party. It's time to fire all of them and start over. A vote in the primary is not the same as voting for President. It is just helping choose a candidate. I am tired of Rubio and Cruz. They don't represent me or my interests, so maybe they need to figure out that they need to get back to work in the Senate.

At this point i dont care or believe anything he says he will do. I think he tells people what they want to hear. Only thing i like is his bafoon mannerism, political incprrectness, and troll attitude.

If the next president is going to fuck uP, it might as well be funny and comical.

Cruz is a backstabbing, sleezeball snake. Fucked over the pauls pretty good.

Yea, I also like the politically incorrect way he treats his friends he knows traffic and rape underage girls. I personally would love my friends to cover for me if I was into raping underage girls. I think society is way to PC when it comes to sex with 12 - 14 yr olds. I mean, it was OK for Mohammed to marry and have sex with his child bride, why can't Trump's friends do the same?

Its PC shit like this that bring me closer and closer to voting for Trump.

http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2015/01/02/2461334900000578-2894480-image-a-1_1420238557618.jpg

On the other hand, I look at one of the victims who Trump knew was being raped by his friends at a very young age and he didn't do anything to stop it and I find it hard to vote for such a person. Just look at her, look how young, beautiful, innocent, smart, white she looks. If I was guessing, she look a like nordish to me and this is who Trump let down by staying silent.

But then again, the silver lining to voting for this rape apologist is that PC culture takes a fatal hit.

Cruzer was destined to be toasted but it will be good for Trump to have him around for a while to keep his tango going with Rubio. For some reason left-wing neocons/SWCbaggers seem hesitant to fully embrace Cruzer, they probably see him as a religious zealot and not as good tool as Rubio.
So Ted winning in TX and Rubio losing in FL would be good for Trumpster.. althought none of that maybe too critical in the nomination battles if Trump mania continued as is.

Brilliant move. Trump is incredible. Before I was just going in to cast a caucus vote for him next week with a ho-hum attitude. Now? I'm pretty excited. It'll be doubly sweet if he takes Minnesota with all the GOPe shills running around for Rubio, and little Marco himself campaigning here.

Indeed... for goodness sake there's a long-time active member on these forums who is a freaking Bernie Sanders supporter. To the degree you reject libertarianism, you're an enemy of liberty. Doesn't necessarily mean we can't be friends and allies in a world of extreme statism.
