For all of you who think that winning is about a straw poll....it never mattered. Ron won Iowa delegates in 2012 only to have them removed at the rnc with what I consider criminals.so here is a clear look back at what the real results were in 2012 , for those of you who are not paying attention to what happened back then and will happen again

Ron had 21% of the vote (finishing third) but ended up with 79% of the delegates.

he was beast mode in iowa....but the establishment fuckdd with so many of the conventions. I saw arizonas convention get robbed , i was a delegate, our chairman adjourned the meeting without allowing the delegate body to have a roll count to continue voting....the ballots were taken to the GOP headquarters where results didnt come for 4 days and the delegates we had nominated (ron paul supporting delegates) had been removed from nomination...we were awarded less after the 4 day span. Thats why none of this matters, primaries are controlled from the top down

again...the delegate strategy was a real threat to the republican party elitists , in the way that we were within arms reach of changing the entire party platform

Iowa isn't about actually winning Iowa, its about changing perceptions for the rest of the primary process. If Iowa awarded no delegates it would still be critical to do really well.

Yes, it's true the Iowa caucus straw poll is non-binding and is meaningless. What's not meaningless is the momentum, the media hype, and the satisfaction supporters get after winning a straw poll and in return the motivation they get to keep pushing forward. We all know Ron won Iowa in the end, but it took months, and by then, most of the momentum in his campaign had ceased to exist.

The momentum Ron would have received from such a victory in Iowa, is something we will never know. He came a close 2nd in New Hampshire, who knows what would have happened had he taken the straw poll in Iowa.

It's important to win the straw poll, despite the actual value of it being zero.
