Above are predictions for Des Moines and Iowa city. 60 percent chance that day/30-50 percent chance at night :)! Would love to see snow on the ground in Iowa for Rand Paul!

Hillary will be pleased. Infamously her 08 campaign bought over 600 snow shovels to be used on caucus day. It didn't snow on caucus day. I wonder if they are still lying around in Iowan's basements.

Would this help us? I cant imagine that all the old people that have nothing to do would not caucus. In fact it is probably something they look forward to every 4 years like Their own personal superbowl. I hope I am wrong though.

Another stupid myth promoted by Paul supporters. No, snow does not help us. People who plan to caucus will, including the old people which account for 65% of the vote.

It's Iowa, not Alabama. It's residents aren't gonna change their plans because of a bit of snow.

Geez, guys, talking about Iowans like they're a monolith. Iowans are people just like us ( I feel like I'm defending a minority here).

There is a % of people who are on the fence about caucusing. Bad weather will tip the scales. It could be 1% it could be 30%. We know, however, that Rand supporters are more dedicated than average. Snow helps.

Maybe a mother has 3 kids and one just shit his pants. She was gonna try to caucus, but combined with the shit, the cheerios on the floor, and now the goddamn snow ... fuck it.

Maybe a young dude with a sports injury doesn't want to be on his feet and risk slipping on ice.

Maybe some chick likes skiing more than she likes politics.

Snow helps.

Our college kids need to build snow men around campus holding Rand signs

I am a meteorologist in NJ and when we get a little bit closer I will weigh in. No point in citing weather.com 9 days out, to be quite honest. Good thoughts though!

It is a major indicator of just how well and truly borked things are when what many consider to be an important step in the advancement of the cause of human liberty is deemed to be contingent (even if only in part) upon localized meteorological conditions ...

Obviously I can't cite any truth to weather helping or hurting Rand on election night, but if it helps, hey you gotta take every advantage you can get. At least this kind of help doesn't come by way of diebold voting machines.
