Tenn. State Senator Steven Dickerson (R-District 20) has introduced a bill that would allow women to purchase birth control directly from pharmacists without first obtaining a doctor's prescription.

Doing meth is a horrid idea, but so is making it illegal.

I am all for making birth control available over the counter, but I would still recommend that women see their doctor and let them know what they are taking so they can monitor them. Females and hormones is definitely one area of the medical industry that I don't think I will ever quite be able to wrap my head around.

But I think there will be a lot more information about birth control and its interactions available in a more free market..

It will probably be a lot cheaper, too.
