"If Rand Paul is not in the debate, then I will withhold my vote from the Republican Party this Fall."

So is he tearing up his pledge to support the nominee? Also, is he saying he won't be the nominee? Strange wording.

Very sloppy wording, as it does come across as Rand saying, "I won't be the nominee."

Signed it anyway.

The "I" in this case is the person signing the petition.

Yes, but it implies that he won't be supporting the nominee either, if he expects his supporters not to. It also implies that he won't be the nominee.

Signed, Reince Priebus and the RNC can kiss my ass if they think I'm going to play ball with them after this B.S.

I'm also a Judge of Elections in Pennsylvania and am considering retirement after this election cycle, and I would have no qualms over switching parties and becoming a Libertarian again. I didn't sign on to be treated like an indentured servant so that a bunch of big government, murderous thugs can rule over this country and send our brave soldiers into the meat-grinder for Saudi oil interests.

I don't agree with this so I won't sign. I would still consider voting for the GOP nominee if it's not Trump.

The rules were laid out well in advance. I'd like to see them bent for Rand and think it would be reasonable to do so. But if they don't I understand the reasoning.
