An arrest warrant has been issued for entertainer Bill Cosby for allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting former Temple employee Andrea Constand at his Elkins Park, Pennsylvania mansion in January 2004, Montgomery County District Attorney-Elect Kevin Steele said at a Wednesday press conference.

Cosby is expected to be arraigned later this afternoon in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania.

The Bolivian President and a Russian political leader have launched a campaign to revoke Obama's honour after the US attacked Libya.

Liberal Democratic Party of Russia leader and Vice-Chairman of the State Duma Vladimir Zhirinovsky released a statement today calling for the Nobel Prize Committee to take back the honour bestowed on US President Barack Obama in 2009.

President Obama rejects idea of revoking Bill Cosby freedom medal

President Obama is rejecting the idea of taking back Bill Cosby's Presidential Medal of Freedom, saying there's no mechanism in place for such a move.

But -- without specifically accusing the embattled comedian -- the president added that "any civilized country should have no tolerance for rape."

At a Wednesday press conference, Obama was asked about a petition begun by a nonprofit victims' rights group that asked the White House to revoke the honor bestowed on Cosby by President George W. Bush in 2002.

Cosby has been accused by dozens of women of giving them drugs and sexually assaulting them in incidents dating back to when he was a star of "The Cosby Show" and earlier. In a deposition released last week, Cosby admitted under oath that he gave women Quaaludes in order to have sex with them.

Obama said there is no precedent or process for revoking a Medal of Freedom.

But he added: "If you give a woman -- or a man, for that matter -- without his or her knowledge, a drug, and then have sex with that person without consent, that's rape.

"Any civilized country should have no tolerance for rape," Obama added.

Whether they take it away or not, the fact that Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize only served to make a joke out of it, and diminished the prestige of it for future recipients.

There is certainly relevance. There may not be precedence of Freedom Medal/Nobel Peace Prize revocation but that doesn't mean there is no precedence of new precedences getting started.

Some I dismissed as gold diggers, some showed poor judgement in going to be alone with him, but others were assaulted in a normal work relationship environment. No, I don't agree with the highlighted. They are not comparable. Do I think Obama deserved the Nobel Prize for simply being the first black US president? No, I don't agree with the highlighted. They are not comparable. Do I think Obama deserved the Nobel Prize for simply being the first black US president? You seem to have misread the premise, perhaps because I did not clearly stated two separate Qs:

2. It is hypothetical at this point but would be very real question if Obama revoked Cosby's Presidentil Freedom Medal.
Cosby could say to Obama, if my freedom medal can be revoked because of bad conduct, can you say with a straight face that you deserve to keep your Nobel Peace prize despite your anti-peace conduct?

I have been listening to the argument made by his lawyer and I knew that this case(most) have no leg to stand on. I think he has some really perverted sexual lifestyle but I am not sure if that is criminal. And If I was ever to be accused of sexual assault/rape, I want Monique Presley to be my lawyer :)

Question then is why was Cosby prosecuted for druged rape charges using widely publicized media coverage feartuing 45 women accusers... was he victim of anti-Obama fever of that era .. sort of like the Operah fall / #OscarsSoWhite phenomenon etc? There were various reports of deterioration of "race relations" around same timeframe during Obama regime.
