Yale fail: Ivy leaguers sign 'petition' to repeal First Amendment (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2015/12/16/yale-fail-ivy-leaguers-caught-on-video-clamoring-to-kill-first-amendment/)

Looking to understand just how controversial the debate over free speech on our college campuses really is, filmmaker and satirist Ami Horowitz recently traveled to Yale University, one of our nation’s most prestigious institutions of higher learning, to speak directly to students.

“I decided to take this campus free speech debate to its logical conclusion,” said Horowitz, who asked students if they’d sign a petition calling for an outright repeal of the First Amendment. “The result was this unbelievable display of total stupidity.”

In fact, Horowitz discovered a solid majority of the students asked willingly signed the petition, with several expressing their enthusiastic approval for his anti-First Amendment efforts.

“I think it’s really awesome that you’re out here,” said one student.

In under 60 minutes on campus, I collected over 50 signatures from the Yale University community calling for the repeal of the 1st Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The dude could do this just about anywhere and get the same results, but he did it at Yale so people would "SMDH at America" even harder because private, Ivy League.

He does the same thing Mark Dice does- exploit a well known concept of suggestibility by using attitude, body language and voice inflection to get people to do whatever he needs them to do, often enthusiastically. This doesn't necessarily mean they are stupid, but ignorant may be a better classification. One group it would probably not work on is people with experience in door-to-door cold call sales, they are trained in these techniques.

Check out the TV show Impractical Jokers, it is centered around this concept, but funny because they can get people to participate in absurdity, usually at (the guys in the show) own expense.

That was a good one, it's so sick that those students are so dumb that they just don't understand, at all, that it is the First Amendment that was allowing them to voice their support of the appeal in the first place.

Just think, how much happier the world would be, if it was illegal to be mean to people.

With your help -- we can make this happen.

How do you tell the difference?

Ignorant would be someone who hasn't been exposed to the concepts of liberty.

Stupid would be someone who has, but still has the same statist viewpoint.

They're ignorant in that they've never really been exposed to street hustling. It really doesn't matter what he's saying, he can always get at least 1 out of 10 of them who stop to sign up to receive canned unicorn farts. He would get the same results at Yale, Venice Beach, Iowa State Fair...
