Paul: Christie the ‘World War III’ candidate

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said late Tuesday that Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) could create “World War III” with his foreign policy toward Russia.

“I think if you’re in favor of World War III, you have your candidate,” he said of Christie during the fifth GOP presidential debate in Las Vegas.

“What we want in a leader is someone with judgment, not someone who is reckless as to stand on the stage and say, ‘Yes, I’m jumping up and down, I’m going to shoot down Russian planes,’ ” Paul continued.
“It is a recipe for disaster. I think when we think about the judgment of someone who might want World War III, we might think about someone who might shut down a bridge because they don’t like their friends.”

Christie countered that Russian President Vladimir Putin is putting more lives in danger with his actions in Syria.

“If you think a no-fly zone is a reckless policy, you’re welcome to your opinion,” he said.

Notice that when Paul attacked certain people that they were reticent to rename him in their counter-attack as to give him another chance to sound off. That was a big note that I saw from this debate, Trump and Christie included, among others.

Best moment of the debate. We've come a long way in getting republicans to see the stupidity of war mongering. He would've been booed so hard for that in the 2012 cycle.

It is fascinating to me that people refused to rebuke Paul tonight. The media after the debate of course ignored him, and then that..... Hard to refute conspiracy theories when you see shit like that.

Media bias is no conspiracy theory. It's been around as long as media has. Everybody knows it..well, everyone with a brain that is.

Interesting that several people used that tactic last night. Wonder if CNN emphasized that "rule" to some candidates?

I noticed that as well. They don't want Rand dropping any more truth bombs!

Christie : " Senators argue about how many angels on a pin " is how Christie responds in the 90 second highlight video on CNN

Also found . . .

He opened with some subtle, ingrained sexism (https://newrepublic.com/minutes/125924/chris-christies-los-angeles-stuck-sexist-1950s) by casually dividing the parents of Los Angeles into two categories:
woman taking care of the kids, men going to work.

Over the span of the debate he made great strides towards understanding gender equality, remarking that the San Bernardino shootings
showed that women could commit heinous acts—just like men!

Christie also said he wants to coordinate with Middle Eastern leaders for a ground fight against ISIS.
His plan: “When I stand across from King Hussein of Jordan, I say to him, ‘You have a friend again, sir, who will stand with you to fight this fight,’
he’ll change his mind.”

King Hussein is, unfortunately, dead (http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2016/us/elections/fact-check.html?_r=0), so this might not work as well as Christie hoped.
