Within 24 hours of the deadly mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., Ulster County, N.Y. Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum posted a message on Facebook urging licensed handgun owners to carry to "ensure the safety of yourself and others."

Despite needing guns to protect ourselves, I dont see this as a recognition of rights, but a ploy. Get people with guns to tell the govt who has guns so later they can be the ones rounded up. Something is fishy here...

We all know US isn't going to disarm, so calling for disarmament at the exact moments when the opposite is what the public feels, seems to me to be some classic reverse psychology.

As many have speculated, civil unrest is the goal, perhaps to go in lockstep with the controlled demolition of our economy as financial vampires cut losses and move east.

I don't think so.

In Georgia I have a democrat for a sheriff. He's more pro-2A than probably half of the republican local office holders. I don't think political affiliation means as much when you're talking about sheriffs.

Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke broke party lines with his PSA's on carrying firearms. (although admittedly he's been disappointing on some of his other stances)
