There is no evidence that neocons owners or any pro-war forces organized CA shooting to prepare public opinion for foots on the ground war against Syrai's Assad. But this call is not logical.

Yet while American officials say they want to see Mr. Assad leave office, they clearly do not want to have that transition happen too quickly. An abrupt removal of Mr. Assad could create a vacuum in Damascus that the Islamic State would probably try to exploit. “Just imagine how quickly this scourge could be eliminated — in a matter of literally months — if we were able to secure that kind of political resolution,” Mr. Kerry said.

The first step in Mr. Kerry’s plan is to

His aim (Kerry) is to get a unified effort against ISIS in Syria and is trying to get Russia to go along. Russia has also hinted that they may be willing to help Assad leave office- after Syria is stabilized. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/worldviews/wp/2015/09/15/the-west-dismissed-russian-offer-to-help-remove-assad-in-2012-says-top-diplomat/

The big question is if Assad and ISIS are both removed from Syria- what replaces them? ISIS arose in large part due to political vacuums in Syria and Iraq and Libya.

Bollocks. Kerry's aim, Clinton's aim, Obama's aim has always been to use ISIS to take out Assad and not the other way around. That has been proven by the Pentagon documents turned over to Judicial Watch and reported on by Ben Swann. Sorry Mr. Shill but you can't wiggle your way out of this one. We have the smoking gun. Want to end the ISIS threat in a matter of months? End the threat to Assad. Tell the Free Syrian Army they have 48 hours to lay down their weapons or face the wrath of the A-10 warthogs.

Political vacuum in Syria?

You mean lack of police presence in rural areas where US funded Jihadists with TOW missiles and heavy weaponry can roll into without a problem?

Are we calling poorly defended areas a political vacuum now?

NICOSIA, Cyprus — Secretary of State John Kerry said Thursday he believes that if an agreement can be reached to ease President Bashar al-Assad of Syria from power, a coalition of Americans, Russians and Syrian forces could wipe out the Islamic State “in a matter of literally months.”

Mr. Kerry’s comments, in a speech to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe in Belgrade, Serbia, on Thursday morning, were the first in which he publicly offered an estimate of how quickly a well-organized effort might be able to defeat the radical Sunni group. He also said that “without the ability to find some ground forces that are prepared to take on Daesh,” using an Arabic acronym for the group, “this will not be won completely from the air, and we know that.” But he was not specific about where those ground troops would come from. His aides later said they would have to be indigenous.
