A woman accompanying her friend and an Iraq War veteran were two of the victims of a deadly Friday shooting at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The families of Jennifer Markovsky, 36, and Ke'Arre Stewart, 29, confirmed their identities Sunday, The Denver Post reports.
The third victim, police office Garrett Swasey, was identified previously and remembered during a Sunday morning service at New Hope, the church where he served as an elder.
Authorities said they would not officially confirm the two victims' identities until their autopsies were complete on Monday.

Jennifer Markovsky, a native of Waianae, Hawaii, was escorting her friend to Planned Parenthood when she was killed, her father, John Ah-King, told the Post.
On Facebook, Ah-King mourned her death as a "senseless shooting."
He wrote, "Life was to short my beloved daughter, I was waiting to see you soon, I'm going to miss you, my memory's of you will live on in my heart and mind!"
Markovsky is reportedly survived by a husband and two young children.

Stewart, a Texas native, served in Iraq and has two young children, friend Tony Fischer told The Huffington Post Sunday.

On December 5, 2005, he posted, “aids, hurricanes, we are in the end times. accept the LORD JESUS while you can.”

His last post was on January 8, 2006, when he wrote, “THE LORD GIVETH THE LORD TAKETH AWAY,” and “BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.”

Washington (CNN)President Barack Obama reiterated his call for more gun control reforms to make mass shootings in the U.S. "rare as opposed to normal" in the wake of a mass shooting in San Bernardino, California (http://www.cnn.com/2015/12/02/us/san-bernardino-shooting/index.html).

Speaking to CBS News moments after news broke of the shooting, Obama called for "common sense gun safety laws" and urged lawmakers to pass a law to prevent individuals on the "No Fly List" who are barred from boarding commercial flights from legally purchasing firearms.

“I’m guilty,” Robert L. Dear announced at his first in-person court appearance since he allegedly fired on a busy Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs three weeks ago, killing two civilians and a police officer in the assault and subsequent shootout with police.

Dear, 57, now faces charges on 179 counts of murder, attempted murder and other crimes.
But on Wednesday, startling those in the small Colorado courtroom, a handcuffed Dear declared, “There is no trial.”
“I’m a warrior for the babies,” he said.
