New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered that an ad campaign he didn’t like be removed from the New York City subway system, The Associated Press reports.

The ads, which had been approved by the Metropolitan Transit Authority, featured Nazi imagery and were meant to promote an Amazon video series, “The Man in the High Castle.” They were plastered on the inside of the 42nd Street shuttle train that travels between Times Square and Grand Central Station. Additionally, the ad imagery wrapped around seats on the subway.

The show is set after World War II, and explores what may have happened if the Axis powers won the war. Ridley Scott is the executive producer.

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio labeled the ads “irresponsible and offensive.” Officials told the AP that Cuomo “ordered them removed.”

The MTA found itself in a similar controversy last year when it approved an anti-Jihad ad created by activist Pamela Geller. The ad, which appeared on city buses, was later banned by order of a judge.
