Trump gets 24 percent of Republican votes, with Carson at 23 percent, Sen. Marco Rubio
of Florida at 14 percent, Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas at 13 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush
at 4 percent, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds. No other
candidate tops 3 percent, with 9 percent undecided, and 63 percent who might change their mind.
Among Republicans, 25 percent of voters say they “would definitely not support” Trump,
with 23 percent who would not back Bush.

The only good news here is that this poll could kick the huckster out of the next debate.

Last time Quinnipiac only gave Rand 1%. I know with a margin of error of 4.4, we're talking a handful of voters, here. But it should be noted that Quinnipiac (and the NBC/WSJ folks, too) have models that aren't as favorable to Rand. I'm hoping to see CNN and CBS come out with polls soon. They tend to have consistently polled Rand in the 4-5% range, which should assure him a place on the debate stage.

So Rand's in right? Unless a new poll comes out today that's worse that 4, but it looks like the 4 newest polls are recent.

He's in as long as no new polls come out today. If a new poll came out today, it would have to be at 4% or higher for Rand to make the debate. I'm hoping that no new polls come out today.

Doesn't get any closer than this lol. 2.5% exactly

Please no polls out today then.

It'd be great to cut off two candidates though. I'm hoping Christi drops if he doesn't make the main stage, but I know a lot of these guys will cling on if they have a super pac. And I have been reading that Christi pacs have been spending a lot of money.

The fox verbiage says that the polls can be conducted through 11/4. There is no deadline as to when the polls are released. This could be a nail biter right up until the day of the debate!

I don't think this one will be used. It wasn't used before by Fox.

Fox Business said they would include polls "conducted" through the 4th. So technically, a poll could come out tomorrow or the day after that was conducted through the 4th, and would be included.

Yeah, I'm really hoping for a new CNN one today.

Thanks for that information. That doesn't sound good for Rand. It seems pretty unlikely that another poll wouldn't be released at least by tomorrow. If another poll is released I hope that it's a CNN poll, as they've generally had him higher than the other pollsters.

So they just simple average four polls - all of different sample sizes - straight up as if all four polls are equal snapshots of the population.
Could the media and pollsters and debate moderators make this all any more meaningless of a way to vet the best candidate
to run against Shhhhillary and her VP Bernie ?

Rand needs to have a head to head against Hillary poll conducted to publish. Nobody else is going to make one.

Fox News is releasing a poll tonight. As long as Fox Business doesn't include the NBC poll as one of the four polls that will determine who participates in the debate, Rand likely just needs to get 2% or better to make the debate. If Fox Business does decide to use the NBC poll, then Rand needs to get 4% or better in the Fox News poll to make the debate.

Not great news but nothing that is different since before the first debate.

Rand hasn't went up but he hasn't went down, this is his bottom. 2-6% within the margin of error.

I wish it was one of their internet polls. Rand would have 66% lol.

They're both a lot more charismatic than Rand. The weak-minded are swayed easily by a smooth tongue.
