The bill got through the House on the strength of Republican votes, however, with only seven GOP members rejecting it and one Democrat, Rep. Collin Peterson of Minnesota, voting “yes,” as he’s opposed Obamacare in the past.

Wonder which 7 voted against it?

Republican leaders are leveraging a tool known as budget reconciliation that would allow the bill to pass on a filibuster-proof basis in the Senate, so long as it meets arcane rules.

Heh.

They seem to have really backed off fighting Obamacare. Last year they voted some 60 times to defund it.

Once they take all 3 houses they'll vote to expand it.

All they need is the WH. A Republican president would pull it off with either party in Congress.

Obama will veto it even if the Senate passes it.

You can't challenge King Obama's authoritah! Even if the people and congress want it...

That's cute. These morons have made voting against the health care law a running joke where the GOP itself is the punchline since they know nothing will come of this.

Election year. Gotta appeal to the base by voting on things- even knowing they won't get passed. They will also talk about fiscal responsibility while at the same time promising to spend more money on popular items like the military and immigration while not submitting a balanced budget despite claiming to favor one. Promises made. Promises unkept. Democrats make their own promises they know they won't keep and things they promise to spend more money on too. They just don't pretend they will balance the budget while spending all that additional money.

It got us a government shut-down at least once.
