Didn't he say almost the exact same thing about Fiorina?

As he should.

He did. I wish he would attack more in the aggregate as opposed to singling people out. Republicans don't get mad at Rubio, or Fiorina, or Huckabee, or whoever. Those are their stand-up guys. Republicans get mad at Republicans as a whole for doing stupid stuff. Rand needs to stop playing small ball and keep talking about the entire party. Leading the whole party in a better direction is exciting. Taking potshots at Rubio or Fiorina is weak.

He does that at the end of this clip:

So you think he should be attacking Rubio and Fiorina, but in this other thread, it is not OK when he attacks your guy Trump:

Give it a rest already, people are voicing their opinions and making valid points.

Like it or not there are many Republican voters that believe in Reagan's 11th Commandment. "Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican".

Rand has taken violating that to an all new level with Trump. It just sounds weaselly, like sour grapes, appears to the average voter that Rand opposes Conservative policies and that Rand is defending the status quo - establishment..

What I describe in that quote is exactly how it was perceived. He does not have the personality to take on Trump in the fashion that he did. His attacks failed only bringing him down. You do not double down on a failed strategy.

With Fiorina and Rubio he can look like an elder statesman and call them out specifically on foreign policy issues.
