i like the idea of Rand being a Senator running for Prez, and Ron Paul, champion of the Constitution and getting this speaker idea out front at the same time.

I do too. I just don't see the point in trying to convince over 200 sitting representative to vote for Ron for speaker. I hate to throw cold water on the idea.

I still want Rand to run for POTUS. But I wonder if he could be elected Speaker, whether anything could be done to raise that possibility up to the level of probability, and if such a scenario would outweigh the benefit of a low probability of winning the GOP presidential nomination. Just thinking aloud here, not calling for anything.

That was just an asinine response. Do you know Ron Paul personally? Do you think Ron Paul wants or needs this kind of publicity?

This is just a dumb petition that means nothing and will go no where. Just because over 5,000 clueless people signed it, doesn't change that fact.

What next? Ron Paul blimp?? Oh yea, that was already tried too.

Lastly, if this is just meant to be a publicity stunt or satire, maybe you should say so?
