Notice how they shamefully cut him off as soon as he brings up Daniel Webster as a possible choice for Speaker:

Well, it's kind of rude to interject someone else's name like that when clearly the story is about Paul Ryan

I don't see him being cut off, about Daniel Webster, but they do try to make it look like the "freedom caucus" is getting in the way of progress.

His voting record isn't that great, he is NOT a liberty guy. But according to Thomas he was very fair when he ran the Florida House and will probably be fair if he becomes Speaker of the US House

Why does Thomas smile all the time? Is he really that happy, or just trying to hide the pain?

He want's to avoid being asked to run for the speaker seat. Preemptive decline. Smart.

Hopefully, someday all freedom lovers will be so happy. :)

Better than scowling, which I would be tempted to do between the reporters and the other member.

If you had orchestrated the take down of Boehner, despite your friends saying it was impossible. And then saw his right hand man go down as well, I think you would have a hard time not grinning when interviewed along with an establishment congress gal.

It was a visual cut-off. They abruptly took him off of full screen the minute he mentioned Webster. A backroom producer choice. There wasn't enough time to whisper in the ears of the anchors.

Webster is the one who must not be named right now. The Ministry of Truth is being blatant in their blackout of most discussion of Webster as an option. Paul Ryan is now the chosen one, with Chaffetz as the officially approved and sanctioned "opposition".

The whole idea of choosing a Speaker based upon proposing fairness, openness and regular order is abhorrent to the establishment and the media.

Webster is just a regular rank and file Republican foot soldier, with an actual track record of being fair, and so is not deemed to be controllable by the Wall St/Big Biz/bankster/neocon regime. Hence the painting of Ryan as the next House ruler, who is compliant with the elite agenda. The establishment wants a conservative shutdown, not a government shutdown.

Pretty good job by Massie, thanks for posting

Title could be changed to CNN doesn't want to hear about Webster as Speaker
