A recent Gallup poll showed that six in ten Americans do not believe the mainstream media is trustworthy, a continuation of a steady decline in confidence over the years. The mainstream is in a panic -- they want to control what we think. What are the reasons for the decline? What is the future?

It seems the people I meet who distrusts the media divide into: those who distrust the liberal media but believes everything FOX news tells them, those who distrusts the corporate media but believes everything MSNBC tells them and then those who think they are moderates and believe CNN is a good balance.

Same as congress approval ratings. Congress has 10% approval rating, but incumbents are re-elected 90% of the time.
