I like it here, but I see some advantages there also.

I prefer us with the 's' because we're a multitude of forums wrapped into one.

They're both powered by the same website. This one has a lot more posts, the other one has a lot of guests for some reason.

I think they recently upgraded it, because it wasn't as nice before. They also have a very well organized library, that was impressive.

But I do like this one better, I think we have a great admin in Josh, and I really like that every city can have their OWN forum. That's really cool and helps local groups discuss things in a central location but still browse to see what other cities are doing, and goto the main news forum with tons of RP supporters all in one place.

I've been to the other one. But never became addicted there like I am here. I only go there if forumS is down.

How about we merge?

The moderator over there doesn't like us for some reason. He's banned people that have mentioned this forum.

Maybe they should combine so that our efforts could be concentrated?

I can't speak for the other message board but ronpaulnation.com/board (http://ronpaulnation.com/board/) and RonPaulMessageBoard.com (http://www.RonPaulMessageBoard.com) wouldn't mind merging although I guess the concern would be what about having a single point of failure? Right now if RonPaulForums.com goes down atleast we can still maintain some communication through a backup system.

ronpaulmessageboard and ronpaulnation/board seem somewhat deserted. Not sure what the point of a merger would be, maybe just have those sites link here for a web discussion forum (my site does).

I'm not sure who the owners of ronpaulforum.com are, but I've mentioned this site before and seen others, and never gotten banned or anything. Maybe it was context or something, who knows. I do like to know who the managers are though, transparency is cool. It'd be neat if they said hi and introduced themselves some time. ;)
I'm going to meet Josh in the real world this weekend, too, lol.

Oh yea, at Ronpaulnation/board they have a feature that i would love to see here.

It is the link that you can use to see topics of active discussion, and the link to unanswered posts. It would be great if this site had that sort of feature... maybe it does and I'm not seeing it?

I use the "New Posts" link up there at the top almost exclusively. There is even a little icon thing that will let you jump to the first post you didn't read in that forum.

That's what I use to see topics of active discussion.

In fact having multiple RonPaul threads/sites/forums throughout the internet creates more RonPaul traffic and more links and more sites to explore when you type "Ron Paul" in google or other search engine.

Those web spiders/crawlers head to different websites and keep expanding his name, so it is a good thing.

Exactly, the redundancy is good. One thing is for sure, there are plenty of Ron Paul supports to go around. :)

It is possible to do this, just go to the forum and select "Replies" - set to ascending order. Here is a direct like to what you get:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/forumdisplay.php?f=2&daysprune=-1&order=asc&sort=replycount&pp=30&page=1

This is for sure the way to go, you can also exclude sub-forums in your "New Post" search, such as Hot Topics by bookmarking the following like:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=54 - not hot link
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=54 - hot link

You can change this to exclude whatever you want, just change the 54 to something else or add by using A,B,C,D etc.

Or you can just do an include only search:

http://www.ronpaulforums.com/search.php?do=getnew&include=2,3 - not hot link
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/search.php?do=getnew&include=2,3 - hot link

Why is that? odd...

In regards to the other sites mentioned, maybe they could forward their visitors to this website? Or maybe have it mirror this forum.

We don't know, the mods never said. I wonder if this kind of thread would float over there... they might have lightened up a bit.

I've PM'ed their admin, there's really no issue- at one point he was a bit concerned about trolls. I think it's great we have multiple sites going and things keep growing...
