Preaching directly from the Quran before a packed Baptist church, the Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan told his adoring audience that violent retaliation is the only way for American blacks to “rise up” and overthrow their white oppressors.

Conservative black leaders told WND Wednesday they believe Farrakhan’s statements went beyond the limits of free speech into the realm of criminal incitement, although a noted constitutional attorney cautioned that prosecuting on these terms would be an uphill battle.

“I’m looking for ten thousand in the midst of the million. Ten thousand men who say, ‘Death is sweeter than continued life under tyranny,’” Farrakhan told the congregants at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Miami in a speech that he posted on his Facebook page earlier this week.

He then launched into a poetic tirade against whites backed up with Quranic verse.

“Death is sweeter than to continue to live and bury our children, while white folks give the killer hamburgers.

“Death is sweeter, than watching us slaughter each other, to the joy of a 400-year-old enemy. Yes, death is sweeter.

“The Quran teaches persecution is worse than slaughter. Then it says, ‘Retaliation is prescribed in matters of the slain.’ Retaliation is a prescription from God, to calm the breast of those whose children have been slain.

“So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.”

The crowd responded with a standing ovation as the 82-year-old Muslim preacher bathed in the moment.

One former follower of Farrakhan's was not surprised by the bombastic tone and content of the speech.

"When I was young I used to go listen to Farrakhan and I bought into his racist and hate-filled message," author and radio talk-show host Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson told WND. "To young people who don’t have stable families and fathers around to guide them, Farrakhan’s anger and rhetoric seems like courage and strength. In my anger, I would have killed for Farrakhan. I know what it’s like for these angry black people to be manipulated and convinced to mindlessly follow this black racist."

Peterson said Farrakhan is no different than ISIS calling for an attack on Americans.

"He's calling for an American version of a suicide bombing," said Peterson, an exclusive WND columnist and author of the book "Scam: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America."

Read Joseph Farah's brilliant take on Louis Farrakhan's "declaration of war" on white America

'At least he's honest'

Robert Spencer, author of the blog Jihad Watch and several books about Islam including "Stealth Jihad: How Radical Islam is Subverting America without Guns or Bombs," said he admires Farrakhan for one thing: His brute honesty.

"Farrakhan apparently figured his audience knew that the Quran does sanction the murder of unbelievers who are considered to be at war with Islam. He knew that they would see in the Quran the justification for his blood-chilling call to violence," Spencer told WND. "As monstrous as he is, at least his honesty is a refreshing break from the legion of pious dissemblers who constantly insist that Islam is a religion of peace and that only ignorant 'Islamophobes' think otherwise."

Jack Cashill, a WND contributor and author of the new book "Scarlet Letters: The Ever-increasing Intolerance of the Cult of Liberalism Exposed," said the presidency of Barack Obama has resuscitated and breathed new life into Farrakhan's ministry, encouraging him to spew ever-more outrageous racial invective.

"The Obama presidency has given the 82-year-old Farrakhan new life," Cashill told WND. "By racializing just about everything he has touched, Obama has raised black paranoia to new heights, and Farrakhan is exploiting that paranoia with potentially lethal consequences."

Media blackout

While Farrakhan's Miami speech has been going viral on social media, Cashill was bemused by the lack of interest from the corporate media. This from the same media that gave wall-to-wall coverage of Donald Trump's comments about illegal aliens, Paula Dean's use of the "n" word, and former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling's racist comments to a mistress.

"Still, not a word from the White House or the media on Farrakhan's call to wage jihad on America's police," Cashill said.

Alveda King, an evangelist and pro-life advocate with Priests for Life, said the Islamic leader should take a cue from her uncle, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

"I would pray to remind Minister Farrakhan that my Uncle Martin Luther King, Jr. once said that 'we must all learn to live together as brothers [and sisters], or perish as fools.' Violence begets more violence," King told WND. "Nonviolent albeit brave and courageous conflict resolution has proven to be very effective throughout the ages. Living by the sword or other human weapons of destruction cause death by the same."

Farrakhan's assumption that the "federal government" should intervene in the affairs of black people is misplaced, she said.

"The government cannot deliver a people, only God can do that," King said. "We must pray to live and not die to declare the works and Word of the Lord."

Looking to spark race war?

Peterson said Farrakhan is a longtime demagogue looking to tap into black angst and spark a "race war."

"Farrakhan claims blacks are suffering under the 'tyranny' of whites, but the only tyranny that's controlling black Americans today is their own anger and hatred toward whites," Peterson said.

Peterson said Farrakhan is deceiving blacks and he's "leading them to the slaughter."

"Farrakhan is a racist. He has referred to whites as blue-eyed devils. He's taking advantage of the anger that exists in the black community for his own personal gain.

"This man is a domestic terrorist and he needs to be arrested immediately for making terrorist threats. This is against the law," he continued. "No white person could incite and encourage violence toward blacks and get away with it. They would be locked up and shunned. What Farrakhan is doing is evil and it’s not good for America. Whites are not causing the suffering and misery that exists in the major urban areas. The breakdown of the black family, dependency on the government, and lack of moral character are the real issues hurting blacks."

Christians applaud Islamic preacher of war

The fact that Farrakhan made his remarks at a black church is even more troubling to Peterson, himself an ordained minister.

"That indicates that these men and women agree with his hate speech. There is no way you can believe in God and applaud and cheer for a demagogue," he said. "There's no way you can be a Christian and listen to someone who encourages you to hate your fellow man. That is not showing love. The people listening to Farrakhan need to repent. These people are encouraging the next generation to hate whites. At this rate, this race issue will never end."

With his outrageous words Farrakhan may be bumping up against the outer limits of what is considered free speech under the First Amendment, but getting a conviction would be difficult under the criminal statutes of most states, said Herb Titus, a constitutional scholar and former law school professor at Regent University.

Before a case could come to the level of federal First Amendment rights, it would first have to go through the criminal courts, Titus said.

"The criminal law requires immediacy, particularity and, with a general statement such as this, it's very difficult to find in the criminal law statutes that he's actually done anything that you could convict him of. There is no such thing as a threat to murder. And attempted murder is very difficult to prove," he said. "There's some catch-all criminal statutes like mayhem but even then there requires evidence that someone is acting on whatever the person is encouraging them to do."

Terroristic threats?

Terroristic threats may provide the best option, but even that wouldn't be a slam dunk.

"That's troubling in itself. What is terrorism? What does that mean? It's never been clearly defined. So again, that's going to give wide discretion to the prosecutor. And laws threatening terror are very wide, one of the first things you are taught in law school is you have to define the elements, and oftentimes threatening behavior just doesn't calculate into criminal behavior."

Titus cited the landmark case of Watts v. United States that ascended to the Supreme Court in 1969.

Robert Watts, a young black man, allegedly stated during a protest rally in Washington, D.C.:

"They always holler at us to get an education. And now I have already received my draft classification as 1-A and I have got to report for my physical this Monday morning. I am not going. If they ever make me carry a rifle the first man I want to get in my sights is L.B.J. They are not going to make me kill my black brothers."

Prosecutors charged Watts with violating a federal law that prohibits threats against the president. Watts countered that his statement was a form of crude political opposition, according to the First Amendment Center.

A federal jury convicted Watts of a felony for violating the law and a federal appeals court affirmed his conviction. On appeal, the Supreme Court reversed, ruling that Watts’ statement was political hyperbole rather than a true threat.

Just wondering, because a guy I know who is armed to the teeth; told me yesterday that farrakhan called for 10,000 black men to come forward on the anniversary of 9/ll and kill white people. I don't know his source. I thought if anyone had the info, it would be Alex Jones. So I don't know where this rumor came from... but just a heads up..... in case.

Just because the Right Reverend Louis Frequentwrong doesn't know (or won't say) who the real enemy is does not mean any significant number of other people are as stupid.

The air is full of blather, designed to distract people from the real problem. And this is as fine an example of that as you will ever see. But that doesn't mean vast segments of the population will be having a stupid attack Friday.

Just because he's a different color from the other filthy rich specialists in dividing and conquering Americans does not mean he isn't one of them.

You KIDDING? Look around you - I mean REALLY look. We are drowning in stupidity. There is such an over-supply that the price to attain it is less than zero. They're paying YOU to haul it away, and that's why it is so popular.

That's not from an absence of stupidity. It can be thankfully attributed to the gross lassitude and cowardice of the average man.

However, if I find myself in town on Friday, which I probably will since I have to pick up a TIG torch at the local welding supply, I will be packing both my .45 SIG and a 686 as backup. WV may be only 3% black, but about 90% of that lives right here in Charleston and the West Side can be a bit rough around the edges.

He said what the article quoted a few months ago so no, he is obviously not going to be arrested for saying what he said.

He is a useful puppet or idiot whatever the case so it's not like it is surprising.

Not that he should be arrested for what he said but I'd be in a cage sooner if I mentioned close to the half of it.

Why would he? The narrative in the media has been subliminally calling for the killing of whites, too. They're grossly misrepresenting the proportion of murders by only reporting when white people kill black people. It's rare you find a story of a black person killing a white person or even black people killing other black people (which represents over 70% of all murders). So what narrative does this push? "Hey black people, the white people are killing you off. You better do something about it first and get on the offensive before it's too late."

Am I the only one who thinks this way? Certainly seems like they're trying to cause a race war.

Should we arrest every person who makes a threat against somebody else? We could fill up our jails pretty quickly and that would put a serious hamper on the Freedom Of Speech. You don't have to agree with the content of speech.

Will Farrakhan be arrested for call to kill whites?

Farrakhan ought to be jailed if he encourages blacks to use violence against whites (or other people) in a situation where the encouragement may be expected to be pursued.

He was protesting black people being shot and the government not doing anything about it. It was not a call to kill all white people but to take justice into their own hands for murder if the police did not. The meeting was in Detroit and the "Million" he referred to was his call for another Million Man March in DC. He was suggesting some of those (even just "ten thousand of those million")take care responsibility for themselves if the government would not do so. Theme of the rally (which had many speakers) was "Justice Or Else".

Even WND printed his reaction to being misquoted: http://www.wnd.com/2015/08/farrakhan-blasts-wnd-others-for-reporting-call-to-kill/

Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan has lashed out at WND and other media organizations that reported his recent controversial statements calling for an army of 10,000 to “rise up and kill those who kill us” and citing the Quran’s “law of retaliation” that imposes a “life for a life” standard.

“I never said kill all white people,” Farrakhan said in a video made at a “Justice Or Else” promotional event in Nashville a few days ago and posted on the Final Call, a Nation of Islam website.

“Those are the words of the mischief-makers. If you are going to quote me then quote me! But when you add your evil mischief-making to my words to make white people to think that I’m calling on black people to kill white people to start a race war, then you’re nothing by a lying devil,” he said.

In it, various reports from WND, Breitbart, Western Journalism and others are shown on screen, all referencing Farrakhan's call for recruiting an army to "kill those who kill us."

In his new video, Farrakhan stands by his original call for an avenging army.

"When the government fails," he said, "when liars are judges, when liars are medical examiners, when liars are prosecutors, when liars are district attorneys, when liars allow murder to go on … and the murderer goes home to dinner with his family, when our women are beaten and killed while under detention, how long can a people endure such?"

He added, "The white community is in a better place because blacks that patrol in white communities don't do to them what whites do when they patrol ours."

The Nation of Islam is hosting the 20th anniversary of the Million Man March, with its chilling "Justice or Else" theme, on Oct. 10 in Washington, D.C.

How many are in jail right now for saying they want to kill Obama? He gets threats all the time. They might decide to monitor you if they thought you were serious.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Threatening_the_President_of_the_United_States

Threatening the President of the United States is a class E felony under United States Code Title 18, Section 871.[1][2][3] It consists of knowingly and willfully mailing or otherwise making "any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States". The United States Secret Service investigates suspected violations of this law and monitors those who have a history of threatening the President. Threatening the President is considered a political offense.[4] Aliens who commit this crime can be deported.[5]

Because the offense consists of pure speech, the courts have issued rulings attempting to balance the government's interest in protecting the President with free speech rights under the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. According to the book Stalking, Threatening, and Attacking Public Figures, "Hundreds of celebrity howlers threaten the President of the United States every year, sometimes because they disagree with his policies, but more often just because he is the President."[6]

<snip>

The number of reported threats rose from 2,400 in 1965 to 12,800 in 1969.[15] According to some reports, President George W. Bush received about 3,000 threats a year, while his successor Barack Obama received about four times that many.[16] This figure has been disputed by Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan, who says that Obama receives about as many threats as the previous two Presidents.[17]

For just saying it? No- you won't go to jail. If it looks like you intend to follow through with it- you might.

So, you are ok with an American black muslim religious leader calling upon his "full house" congregation to kill white people for the repression we have made them suffer under? Why don't they kill the Congress instead. The Congress is the body, white and black people cannot control and the people who truly are responsible for all the woes in the United States. They do their own corrupt things, for their own personal gain. Maybe they should redirect their hatred to the body that really causes their pain.... and ours.

Militant black activists urge #BlackLivesMatter to join in terror, flag burning & murder on Sept. 11

WARNING TO READERS: The links enabled in this story lead to videos posted by activists with #FYF911 and contain the prolific use of profanity and racial slurs for both white and black people, as well as graphic portrayals of their intentions. Christian Examiner is providing the links for readers to further research the information contained in the article below and as a means of confirmation of the comments made by the activists.

NEW YORK (Christian Examiner) – A group of militant black activists is encouraging the followers of the #BlackLivesMatter movement to hijack Sept. 11, traditionally a day of national remembrance for those who lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center, Pentagon and Flight 19 in 2001.

Instead of celebrating the unity of the United States on the day, the activists instead claim they will be holding nationwide protests, burning the American flag and even using the American flag to clean themselves after using the bathroom. Several of the activists have already posted pictures online showing themselves using the American flag as toilet paper.

The group, closely aligned with the New Black Panthers and other "black supremacy" groups, has also launched a social media campaign under the moniker #FYF911, or "[Expletive] Your Flag 9-11."

In one video, the group claims the day of protest is a slap in the face of the "imperial powers" that carried out the Sept. 11 attacks to gain more power for white people. That belief, a subset of the 9-11 "truther movement," has been discredited by both physical evidence and the collection of intelligence. Another video refers to Sept. 11 as an "inside job."

The group also claims it will be hoisting the "RGB" or "Red-Green-Black" flag of the "Black nation," which they propose to establish after "breaking the psychological chains" of white supremacy.

Most shocking, however, is the violence some in the group are promoting for Sept. 11. During an Aug. 25 radio broadcast in Texas, #FYF911 activist "Sunshine" spoke with callers advocating the murder of police officers and whites who are found alone on that day. The video alone has been viewed over 100,000 times.

One caller said they should wait until the police have left an area and then act – "when them mother [expletive] are by themselves, that's when we should start [expletive] them up like they do us ... six or seven black mother [expletive] see a white person and lynch their [expletive]," the caller said.

"Let's turn the tables. If we turn the tables and cops ... cops start losing people, this will be a whole different story. Cause then it will be a state of emergency and one of two things is going to happen: we're gonna have a big [expletive] race war or [racial slur] are gonna start backing up. We're already getting killed out here, so what the [expletive] we got to lose."

The unnamed caller said white people needed to experience "a sacrifice" because blacks are engaged in a "war" with whites. He added that blacks should look for whites walking alone, "snatch his [expletive] and hang him from a [expletive] tree. Take a picture and send it to the mother [expletive]. I bet it will turn the whole table on [expletive]. We just need one example – one example – and people will start watching."

"Sunshine" responded to the suggestion, saying it was "so [expletive] true."

Three days after the radio broadcast, Harris County Sheriff's Deputy Darren Goforth was shot and killed as he fueled his patrol car at a Northwest Houston-area gas station. Goforth never saw his attacker, who was black.

The caller to the radio program also said the lynching of whites would start a trend because "black people are good at starting trends."

Another video, released Sept. 2 and produced by a man calling himself "King Noble," said "the orders have just come down from the head organizer of the #FYF911 movement."

According to the man in the video, blacks are being instructed to gather at Stone Mountain, Ga., to "witness the end of United States imperialism [and] white supremacy." Stone Mountain features a carved monument of Confederate Generals from the Civil War on horseback and has been mentioned as a target for removal by the activists.

"I don't care if you are a Hebrew Israelite, a Moor, a Black Panther, or black rioter. I don't care what organization you are with – 5 Percenters – I don't care. Get your black [expletive] there. It's going down. Witness for yourself the end of United States imperialism, white supremacy."

"King Noble" said activists planned to burn the American flag at Stone Mountain because it backs all other racist flags which represent those who have done harm to black people. Noble also said the Ku Klux Klan and all other white supremacist movements would not have never been successful if not for free speech.

He signed off his video with a call for "black supremacy."

The #FYF911 movement is led by a man calling himself "Palmetto Star, the Ratchet Revolutionary."

How are these black Muslim savages going to figure out who the "killers" are, exactly?

That's exactly what makes Farrakhan's words so unobjectionable. They don't go beyond a nonspecific call for vengeance against hypothetical killers.

perhaps...............BUT, a White CC'er would be perfectly justified in a shoot on sight policy towards Farrakhan and his followers.

Why?

Did you even read the article I posted?

“So if the federal government will not intercede in our affairs, then we must rise up and kill those who kill us. Stalk them and kill them and let them feel the pain of death that we are feeling.”

"Farrakhan claims blacks are suffering under the 'tyranny' of whites.

What he doesn't know is whites are suffering under the tyranny of whites as well. Don't blame us, and kill us Farrakhan ... The Congress is who you want, not us.

Yes, I read it, but like I said, not carefully. Can you find anything in it that quotes Farrakhan calling for killing whites?

There's a big difference between saying to kill someone just because they're white and saying to kill someone who's killing people.

Here you even post quotes from the article, and you can't find a quote that says anything remotely close to what you claimed. So why do you keep repeating the charge?

Where I live , I am unconcerned with race wars .I do though , intend to win if anyone were unwise enough to bring it to me.I would also intend to win regardless of the shade of my skin .

I love Farrakhan. And I'm white.
Well, he think you are an inherently evil devil, whose ancestors were created by a mad scientist named Yakub who is also Jacob from the Bible. Yes, really. That is what the Nation of Islam really believes.

Punishment for actions, yes. For words- no.

Perhaps, but your statement might be seen as discounting the value of words and that is a very dangerous game to play. By your reasoning, it could be very easily and validly construed that a man threatening to kill you through utterances must be tolerated with no action taken against him, lest you go to prison for bringing him to harm. That, of course, is folly of the first order. If a man says he is going to kill you or bring you to some other harm, you are well within your rights to drill him a deep fathom down. It must be this way or we will one day live in open chaos. Words are grossly discounted by the average man; indication of his grotesque and arguably criminal ignorance of the place words hold in the lives of men.

I don't know what I'm missing, or you are missing. The first three sentences in the quote say it all. Are you reading it, that he is calling upon his followers to stalk and kill a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts because blacks are suffering under white tyranny and the Feds won't intercede?

I think you might be confused about which parts of the article you posted are actual quotes from Farrakhan and which parts are the writer paraphrasing in his own words what he wants you to believe Farrakhan said. Go back and read the quotes you gave. Nowhere does Farrakhan say anything about killing white people. He only says, "kill those who kill us."

Do you still disagree? If so, then please find a quote where he mentions killing white people.

http://www.infowars.com/louis-farrakhan-cites-koran-calls-for-10000-to-rise-up-and-kill-those-who-kill-us/ I guess there are only two or three here, that interpret this as a "no risk" event. I believe his words are cause for concern.

It's not enough to be "anti-establishment". You also have to be, y'know, not insane.

And I'm not the only one:

Americans Responded to Summer of Unrest with Record Gun Purchases

As the widely-televised Baltimore riots gave way to a summer rife with more civil unrest, calls for widespread violence, and targeted attacks on police officers, Americans flooded into gun stores at such a high pace that they set records for the number of background checks conducted in May, June, July, and August.

While Democrats pushed gun control—seizing on heinous attacks on innocents in Garland, Texas, (May 3), Charleston, South Carolina, (June 17), Chattanooga, Tennessee, (July 16), Lafayette, Louisiana, (July 23), and Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, (August 26)—Americans recognized that the gunmen in each of these instances fully complied with gun control, passing a background check in all five attacks, only to carry out their criminal plans afterward.

Therefore, rather than trust in gun control, Americans increasingly trusted in the gun.

According to the FBI, there were 1,580,980 background checks in May 2015, which is nearly 100,000 more than the previous record of 1,485,259 in May 2014. Likewise, there were 1,529,057 background checks in June 2015—nearly 150,000 more than the previous record of 1,382,975 in June 2014—and 1,600,832 background checks in July 2015—nearly 200,000 more than the previous record of 1,402,228 in July 2014—and 1,745,410 background checks in August 2015—nearly 200,000 more than the previous record of 1,546,497 in August 2014.

And remember, these millions upon millions of background checks may not even come close to representing the number of guns that were actually sold, as each purchaser can legally purchase multiple guns once a background check is passed.

The bottom line—amid the unrest, the war on cops, and the public attacks on innocents that Democrats seized upon to push gun control bill after gun control bill—Americans went another way, choosing more guns instead of more government control, thereby making the summer of 2015 a record-setting season for background checks for gun purchases.
