RPF Getting Massive Traffic Right Now

I just noticed a huge increase in traffic in the last couple minutes.

We're at about 92% of the all time high for users online.

Most I've seen in months....

Did something just happen? Some big news story about Rand that I missed? Or what?

Any thoughts?

Ditto, and it started just as I noticed there were like 500 people viewing a subforum that normally has a couple dozen (!)

Hence, the traffic appears to be real (i.e. not a glitch with the ticker).

Just in case, I'm gonna go bump some activism threads.

It just happened again...

We went from a couple hundred users to over 4k in a matter of minutes, for no apparent reason.

And earlier today, the site was down completely for about 15 minutes.

Was there any advertising or email that went out yesterday/today that linked directly to RPF?

Been putting up links to the constitution day mb thread (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?480533-Constitution-Day-Moneybomb-Sept-17th-Promotion-Ideas-Thread) from social media so others that aren't forum members currently can check it out, started a group on FB of about 100 trusted supporters that are activists, interested in the MB with the main planning link going here. That's all I know.
