Sounds like a plan. Besides, what difference (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?480329-Did-the-U-S-government-foster-the-creation-of-ISIS&p=5972452&viewfull=1#post5972452), at this point, does it make?

Former CIA boss and 4-star general David Petraeus – who still (believe it or not) holds a lot of sway in Washington – suggests we should arm Al Qaeda to fight ISIS.

He’s not alone …

As we’ve previously shown, other mainstream American figures support arming Al Qaeda … and ISIS.

The U.S. actually did knowingly support Al Qaeda in Libya. And also in Syria.

And we actually ARE supporting ISIS to some extent.

Truly, America’s foreign policy is insane.

For many years, the (completely unremarkable) Nieuport-Delahaye 52 biplane was somewhat famous for having been built in another country (France) and having been used on both sides of a civil war (in Spain in the late thirties). But given our taste for arming both sides of civil wars, I'm sure that is becoming common with American warplanes--or will soon become common.

And may God have mercy on our souls.

I don't see any downside. For the military contractors.

I thought it was illegal or some shit to give money or weapons to our declared enemies or known terrorist organizations.

It's also illegal or some shit for the government to take control of the press, disarm the populace, ensconce themselves in homes or cars seized under pretext of a war--like a war on drug dealers, conduct searches without either warrant or probable cause, force us to reveal our passwords so evidence against us may be gleaned from our devices, have the services of a jury not made partial by publicity or by having information on things like nullification withheld from them, be charged fees in connection with a criminal prosecution beyond reasonable and proper fines as proscribed, or project itself into matters that should be a matter for states, or for the consciences of individual citizens.

Gave 'em an inch and look at their miles of dust!

We'll have to impose strong sanctions against ourselves for aiding terrorists. Maybe Lindsey Graham, Tom Cotton and Ted Cruz will lead the fight in the Senate for hardcore sanctions and strongly worded letters with threats.

One does have to wonder though; if Al Qaeda was behind the WTC attacks why are the families of 911 victims and all the politicos and talking heads that can't wait to mention the 9/11 attacks at every chance not up in arms over this? Why is this idea not ridiculed and folks like the general in the OP not laughed out of town?

What do you mean al Qaeda? That was ISIS, wasn't it? We haven't ever been at war with Eurasia! We have always been at war with Eastasia!

Damn it, they airbrushed Beria out of the picture. Therefore, he never existed. Don't make us adjust your attitude.

Just drop a couple million guns over there, and a couple billion rounds of ammo. Don't give any other weapons. Bomb anyone entering or existing the area. Come back in 3 years, and clean up.

Sounds like a plan!

There are too many opinions on how to un-create ISIS.

Don’tworry, according to Dr. Baltar (and his inner Six), they only need the nuclear warhead to be used as part of their Cylon detector…

We did that, and see where we got us? We armed ISIS, see where we got us? This guy must be living 12 years in the past. the U.S. has armed all the "alleged" terrorist groups. We even armed the drug cartels in Mexico via "Fast and Furious". Anyone else need arms? Just let the U.S. Feds know and we'll deliver in exchange for a few million in our personal bank accounts. Our meaning, Holder, Obama; et al.
