Government Spying “Worse than Orwell”

The United Nations privacy chief says that government spying is “worse than Orwell”.

He’s right …

The editor of the Guardian newspaper said:

Orwell could never have imagined anything as complete as this, this concept of scooping up everything all the time.

Edward Snowden said in 2013 that NSA spying was worse than in Orwell’s book 1984.

Swedish Pirate Party founder Rick Falkvinge writes:

We are already far, far past the point of Stasi or “1984”.

And Bill Binney – the highest-level NSA whistleblower ever, the senior technical director within the agency who managed thousands of NSA employees and created the agency’s mass surveillance program for digital information – told Washington’s Blog:

Current surveillance is far beyond an Orwellian state.

"Without Privacy, everything is subject to approval." - Me

There are roughly seven different ways that a person can exist: physical, emotional, intellectual, financial, reputational, political, legal, and spiritual. Some of these categories overlap, but for the most part, I think its a pretty good total categorization of how individuals exist. The actual categories themselves are probably debatle, but really, the labels dont matter. What matters is that in each of these categories, a person can either grow, or be harmed. And the enabler for either growth or harm is Privacy. I think that when a person feels they can grow in an area, that growth is planned, but the result is a person willingly gives up their privacy in order to grow, but when they see a threat, they want to protect their privacy. Not always bad but not always good either, it depends on the individual and the situation. Wrong religion, we kill you. That would be a form of physical harm. The opposite would be "you are the correct religion (subject to a rulers approval), you will be protected from physical harm." Regardless of the outcome, both conclusions result in Physical Dependancy on Rulers. Next level: Emotional. You got bad grades, you are told you "need to get better", but you get good grades, "good job". Both sides lead to Emotional Dependancy. Next level would be Intellectual, but the same thing still applies. This is where you see Filter Bubbles, you are told what you are supposed to be told, but the Filter Bubble would prevent you from hearing things that would truly benefit you. Intellectual Dependancy. Every layer of existence is a means by which an individual can be controlled and pressured to accept their assigned identities and roles as part of the group, without regard to the individual themselves.

The End of Privacy does something a bit different than Propoganda.

Propoganda is mostly about Intellectual Control and how it applies to a Group. The End of Privacy when coupled together with Propoganda will enable Individual Manipulation of an individual. But again, this is only one layer of control. They control the food, power, electricity, medical, your shelter, your location, your imprisonment, and thats just Physical. Emotional is combined with Filter Bubbles and Hegalian Dialectic so you are told things that will scare you more than it would your neighbor. Your expected reaction is that you should run to Govt and ask to "be protected" from all the scary things in the world, all the perceived threats and how they apply to you as an individual. "Terrorists are evil, you need Govt to protect you." "You need Govt to protect you from Illness and Disease and the Unvaccinated."

The End of Privacy is the End of Individuality and Total Control over EVERY Level of existence.
