Regardless of the reference he seems to be hitting places that Ron Paul did well at in 2012. Might be playing a delegate game trying to keep those that supported his father on board for when the time comes. I know many may disagree, but with 17 candidates this go around, it very well could be a winning strategy. Hell you know how long it took Ron to educate his supporters in gathering delegates, do you guy's think that Trump supporters will know how to play the game? I seriously doubt it. Of course the establishment knows the game, which is why it'll in all likelihood be a race between Rand Paul and Jeb Bush. Which hopefully if no candidate goes to the convention with enough delegates to win outright, I could see Trump delegates (the ones he wins outright thru the mandatory primary setup) going to Paul over Bush due to the anti-establishment rhetoric in Trump's speeches. This is the only reason I can see support flocking to Trump, which could end up in Rand's hands hopefully.

I promise you, nobody calls weed "trees". Maybe once by Dr.Dre but it probably got rejected outright immediately because calling it trees is just stupid when so many more awesome words exist.

I don't smoke, but I have heard trees so maybe it's dependent on age or location but I'd say it's an acceptable reference.

Joking aside, that is an area that Rand can connect with them on. Talking about how as President he will let states like Washington make their own laws, his bill to allow banks to deal with marijuana businesses, his effort to reclassify marijuana as Schedule II etc.
