1) The government has been out of control with spending, military adventures overseas, collapse of the dollar, warrantless searches, etc.
2) Ron Paul who is a libertarian is running as a third party candidate.
3) The young people are more enthusiastic about politics. When this happens it ends up in a revolution and thus drastic changes for the government. An example is the hippies who were against the draft and elected Nixon to end the military draft that was around for 33 years.
4) The internet which enables free press unlike at anytime in history even if the MSM is corrupt.
