Go Rand! Defund this sick and disgusting organization!

Bad stance for Rand to take, imho. I agree what planned parenthood is doing is sick, but unfortunately most Americans don't... It may win Rand some minor support of hardcore conservatives but he will lose lots of support of the younger crowd. I haven't seen a single person on my Facebook feed under the age of 50 that isn't posting things supporting planned parenthood and arguing that the embryo parts are needed to advance medicine... Everyone is in a rage trying to debunk these videos, and even saying that not supporting PP is murder, because many lives are saved with the medicine from these parts...

I disagree. This is the only stance to take..... defunding PP once and for all. Rand has said he even knows pro choice people who are appalled at the videos.

It's the D party who is way out of the mainstream on abortion..... supporting it at any stage of pregnancy and for any reason. While a majority do not oppose abortion in the first trimester, large majorities oppose later term abortions, including majorities of women and young people.

Rand is right for pointing out how extreme the D party is on abortion.

Saw an article that said McConnell had a strategy behind changing his vote

"McConnell changed his vote to “no” on defunding, a procedural maneuver that allows him to bring up the failed bill anytime, perhaps as soon as Tuesday."

I mean, no one actually expected this to pass, did they? No way would most Democrats vote against Planned Parenthood and they'd have no reason to.

If he cared about the issue instead of playing for political points, he would be calling for an investigation and jail time for the heads of the organisation that are found to be linked to selling body parts.

Defunding it won't put anyone in jail. No justice will be served.

Its a bullshit political play.

That would more than likely apply some fines to a few peons, yet continue to bankroll the entire operation.

Great! This should be defunded. But is it fair to say Rand takes the lead? Didnt Cruz bring up this issue a week ago? Nothing wrong with multiple senators wanting to defund PP
