Ya so Hillary wants to "crack down" on these services that treat employees as contractors... Which is really dumb. The whole point of Uber is that when demand is high, drivers make more money with more ride requests and surge rates and such and this gets drivers out on the road. Alternatively, when demand is low less drivers are online.

What turning these contractors into employees will do is ruin everything. They will have drivers going online during slow hours just so they can rack up enough hours so Uber will pay for their health insurance. That money will be passed on to the Uber consumers and prices will go up.

Peak demand for Uber in most places is Friday and Saturday nights, so it's not the greatest full time job for a lot of people - it is a good full time job for some people - others should get a second job or a primary job and work for Uber during peak demand which is when they make the most money anyway.

Just one of many issues where Rand can steal from Hillary's support. Young and tech-savvy voters will obviously take Rand's side on this.

...stimulate our economy and work towards lower prices

A crucial point that doesn't get emphasized enough.

The conversation on economic policy is usually dominated by "creating jobs."

It's rarely mentioned that a free market economy also lowers prices for consumers.

...I'm tellin ya, been saying it for months, Rand needs to go hardcore economic populist, like right now.

That and that alone (not foreign policy, not social issues, not civil liberties, not immigration) is his ticket to the nomination.

It's still the economy, stupid!

Why does Rand save his best zingers for twitter? Say it first at a campaign rally or in a contentious TV interview to get it covered on the news.

Unfortunately they do not vote.

The ones that do will vote for Senator Paul. They will be the loudest most enthusiastic of all of Senator Paul's voters.
