Hey, I'm guilty of doing it twice. And I apologize.
I was feeling a bit frisky yesterday.

that being said...threatening to ban everyone for HAVING FUN indicates you don't understand humor, are in the closet, or just plain need a hug.

Lighten up Francis.

You can use the report post feature http://www.ronpaulforums.com/gfx_RedWhiteBlue/buttons/report.gif if someone is in violation of the forum guidelines. There is a sliding scale of tolerance on "time wasters" for members who have contributed significantly vs. unknowns who may be trolls.

It's pretty annoying. You guys can have a funny video thread in the 'other' OT forum :)

I posted this in another thread, but I won't do it anymore.
I realize everyone here is pretty serious and I'll conduct myself as such.

This forum is for people to come and learn about Ron Paul. Don't discourage new users by posting fake links, it comprimises everybody's integrity.

Every time someone flags a post it sends an e-mail to the moderators. Please only use it if it's really important like someone is posting porn or someone posting personal home phone numbers.

Someone pulling a prank that makes you click on a link to a music video isn't a bannable offence unless it is out of control.

lol "rick-rolled"

..Your honor, I was "rick-rolled" by that man over there! *crowd gasps* Mr. Anderson, do you have anything to say for yourself?!

..why yes I do.. " You know the rules, and so do I.."

Yes, it does compromise our integrity...

Think about that one person who comes on to the boards.. opens a topic... finds an interview he/she has been looking for... opens it... RICKROLL'D!

As we well know, ANYONE would hold that directly against Ron Paul and the campaign.

Hell, I could even see someone being like... "Ron Paul fans are such A-holes, I'm going to vote Guiliani just to piss em off! That will show them for RICKROLLing me!"

It's that serious!

We could very well lose the primary because of RICKROLLers!

Define "out of control". The last few days every time I read about a new RP interview I try to click on a link to it and get some stupid puppet show.

I have to find out afterwards this was just some "joke" and it continues to happen for a couple of days.

I think a number of us here would define that as "out of control".

The goal of this forum should be to get Ron Paul elected as President, not for us to have a good old merry time and make a bunch of friends. That can happen along the way but stuff like this, 4 letter words every other post, makes this forum appear less professional than it is.

I guess the market demand hasn't been strong enough to create another Ron Paul forum website yet.......

Look, if the interview were available, I'd post it, but its not, so I don't see any harm in having a little fun.

Anyone who makes their election decisions on getting Rickrolled is a very silly person.

Something that continually happens over several threads and the people won't stop when asked by the moderators.

Honestly, it's just a link to a music video. It takes 5 seconds out of your life while waiting for the real link. People joking around for a day is fine.

I got rickrolled once and thought it was funny. I considered doing it as "payback" but now glad I didn't.

It's funny but could easily get out of control, it could get to the point where the last person thinking it was still funny was the only one still doing it... probably just best to stop it.
