I have not heard Obama call for banning guns. He was supposedly going to ban guns the minute he took office (which lead to a surge in gun and ammo sales- dealers were ecstatic). Still hasn't happened.

"Something must be done" is a phrase used after every crisis.

Most of the time it is just talk to re-assure the public. 9/11 being a massive exception.

Along with less freedom , there are usually taxes and fees .They like to require you to pay for all of these acts.

I'd like to know what law would have prevented this... I ask progs all the time. In what universe would any statist law have prevented this crime?
