If I were him, I would attend. He has always spoken well about his Christian beliefs.

He's probably skipping the event for the same reason that he doesn't come on Bill O'Reilly's show. There's just no point of him going on shows or showing up at venues where he's shown no respect at all.

Great speech.
Although, when speaking about liberty and virtue, I don't like that he uses the terms "virtue", "tradition", and "faith" interchangeably. All 3 of those words mean very different things.
