If I could have only recorded. It was Awesome. It was the very last segment on Laura's radio show. She basically played the View segment about the abortion questions. Ron really did make the those women asking the questions look like fools, even though they all ganged up on him. Ron can not be owned.

Honestly if the ladies on the view can't understand the argument that a controversial issue like abortion should be left to states to decide maybe they shouldn't be on TV. It's one thing if they don't agree with the stance, but for them to kind of blank and go ... huh??? Only one of the women seemed to get it, which was the one who said that if a woman wants an abortion in a state that doesn't allow it then she has to go to another state. She may or may not be able to afford that. That's true. However even in Roe v. Wade it recognized that the State has a vested interest in protecting life. The case weighed that with health detriments to a woman who performed a back alley abortion and that's where they came up with their conclusion.

I can't stress this enough... it is not the Supreme Court's role to make medical decisions. Let the medical professionals be the voice for their respective fields in their local states. That way if medical science changes... we don't have to wait for a supreme court case to change their opinion on how abortion should be handled.

These ignorant women share the same distorted view as most of the rest of the country: the States are just local branches of the federal government. So they have no idea what you are talking about when you say the states should decide. You might as well say, let the doctor flip a coin.

I've read a whole lot of this opinion and feel I should offer my two cents.

From a trinitarian point of view, Jesus was with God in the beginning before and during creation. If that was her implication, then from a biblical standpoint she is correct.

Christ was around before any other religions.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God.

John 1:11 And the WORD became manifest and dwelt among them.

The WORD is Christ. I'm not trying to start a religous debate, but to a Christian Christ has been around since the beginning of time. Not hard at all to understand if you read the Bible.

Regardless of your religious beliefs, she made it sound like Jesus, in the physical form, preceeded all relgions ever formed, which I think we can agree is true. A religion couldn't have been based on Jesus if there was no evidence or record of his existence.

I'm not saying that Christ didn't exist from earlier on, I'm just saying he appeared in his human form on this planet after some religions had already been formed.

I just don't see how anyone could put the abortion issue above the future of our country.

If we continue empire building, sinking the dollar, and starting the NAU, our country is toast.

If we get rid of the Fed, the income tax, and bring all our troops home, but 4 states make abortion illegal, we are FAR better off.

It's a wedge issue and RP should play it down as much as possible.

Sorry everyone, but I have to say something. Calling fellow supporters of RP "idiots" does nothing for the cause. Technically speaking, the guy who cited John is correct: for Christians, God (in the form of the Trinity) has existed eternally. Now, I don't think that the host of the View (you know, the last person on earth who doesn't know if the world is flat or round) was doing some high-level theology there. I think she was genuinely mistaken, because she did say that the Greeks were feeding Christians to the lions and such.

However, this kind of "know it all" attitude does nothing for us, sir, and we should show that we are better than that as supporters (missionaries?? :)) for Ron Paul.

You're not doing us any service by attacking The View. Joy said a lot of good things about him, before he came on. Do you remember? I would imagine if it wasn't for her, he wouldn't have even been invited to come on the show.

Come on, people. Don't insult these people. Joy has in fact researched Paul more than most any other person on TV and she's not even in news. So, she has a blind spot where it comes to abortion. So what? A lot of women do. Paul didn't exactly explain it so well either, you know.

No dude, shes pretty milfy, ill give her that. Power to the people is a decent book too, itd be nice if she could REALLY come around to paul, though she has warmed up to him quite a bit. Really the only issue she seems a true neocon about is the war, everything else is pretty spot on old-rightish, limited government. Well actually i take that back, shes a typical social conservative, wanting to use government to ban porn and things like that. Parts of it were good. Some were pretty typical conservative/neo-con positions, i guess.

Well, perhaps you are correct hawkeyenick. Perhaps it is a good thing to call others "idiots". Therefore in my statement inferring that calling one an idiot makes one an idiot I possibly do not know what I am talking about.

I agree. I am pro-life but I am realistic and know that you cannot change some people. There are more pressing issues that presently threaten 'life' like the war. I dont see how people can be pro-life & pro-war just like there are some people who are pro-choice & anti-war.

And yesterday Michael Medved was all in a tizzy about Ron's performance on the View. He said something like, "The women on The View were practically LICKING him to death..."

I don't like Laura because she's a warmonger, and wants to bomb Iran -- Even yesterday talking about the new report that Iran wasn't going nuclear, she refused to believe it and had some guy on who said they were nuclear and Iran was a big threat, etc.

Also, she loves Israel and goes there all the time and broadcasts from there.

She just said yesterday how we have to be in Iraq because of 911. She's always talking about the 'islamofascists' and how we have to fight the 'war on terror'. It's sickening.

She and some other guy on her show said something derrogatory about Ron Paul yesterday, and played a bit, but I didn't catch what it was.

But she did say something yesterday which I loved -- she talked about how Huckabee was talking at the debate about giving illegal alien children college tuition, and how she doesn't like that at all. So she previously really liked Huckabee, but she hates Illegal Aliens, so now she doesn't like Huckabee's position on it, so that really makes me feel good.

And she's not a 'babe', she's a 'bitch'. :)

We made sure she knew we were watching and that we had agreement on principles. She doesn't roast Paul, and that's all I could hope for. I like some of what Laura stands for ... I just wish or hope she'll return to her roots. She's intertwined with a few other neocons that were around during the Reagan days. I don't know if she'll be able to let it go .. but she unlike they did not completely convert. It's again ... the war.
