“Denying candidates an opportunity to showcase their talents and experience in the first televised debate would artificially distort the political process, stifle Democracy and competition, and induce voters to consider only those candidates pre-selected by virtue of their name ID rather than their potential as candidates”. That’s not from the Libertarian Party or the Green Party. That’s an open letter to FOX News from the Republican Party of New Hampshire.

There is a poll on the side of that page btw
Should the Libertarian Party back Rand Paul? 46 votes 61% yes, 9% undecided

New Hampshire is where Foxnews excluded Ron Paul from the debate in 2008.
The NH Republican party complained about it, and even pulled their sponsorship - but Fox didn't care.

(This is what led to the snowball incident.)

Or... maybe there can be a high tier debate and low tier debate and as the field narrows out.. combine the two?

GOP needs to stop asking permission for things and hold a freaking debate. Live stream it, call it the first GOP debate and laugh when Fox News suddenly wants in on the deal.

I believe the GOP will not do that though, since they do not actually care about getting a fair process in. Kudos to NH republicans though, so far the only ones who are standing up to the media controlled politics
