Governor Scott Walker joined state and local leaders, including Speaker Robin Vos, Majority Leader Fitzgerald, Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett in announcing a plan to protect state taxpayers from a loss of approximately $419 million, if the NBA relocates the Milwaukee Bucks. Lindsey Graham would consider him anti-American, if not a terrorist if he did

If you think this is bad, you should see what the new Atlanta Falcons stadium will cost the taxpayers.

Then the Atlanta Braves got jealous and threatened to move as well. And they did eventually decide to move to another county.

Everyone and their uncle started lining up at the trough. "Imma get mad 'n leave cuz you no pays me for a new stadium! I want nice new stadium!"

They tried to justify it with a hotel tax, essentially claiming that tourism establishments exist because of the stadiums. As if everyone who stays at a hotel is gonna go watch the fucking game all year round. No other reason in the world to stay at a hotel, nope.

It's pathetic that sports teams can essentially bully taxpayers like this with impunity.

How does building stadiums help the government protect our liberty?

Sports are my life but keep taxes away government money away from sports. These billionaire owners can afford to build their own stadiums out of their own pockets.

How does building stadiums help the government protect our liberty?

How dare thee. Don't you know when Rome was crumbling, the officials bent to the will of the people and had the games?
