Texas is about to join the other open carry states, and like them, start to have gun battles in the streets. This is a tragic day for the state of Texas.

The weather in Waco is wonderful today btw

Correct Citizen. Chaos and anarchy is sure to follow. Blood will spill on the streets.

I came here to post about this, ran a search to make sure it hadn't been posted yet. Glad I did. Surprised it's not getting more air here.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott took to facebook to brag about signing the open carry bill

Better than nothing..
I guess it is a step in the right direction,, but you still have to have permission first. You need a license to exercise the right.

and Cops can harass on sight. Wording to prevent that was removed. :(

The 2nd Amendment is our permit to carry, open or concealed. We need to stop allowing our government to take our rights and turn them into privileges that require government approval to exercise.

The wording was removed, that really sucks. But a number of Federal judges in other open carry states have ruled that cops can't stop just for carrying though. So they will be opening themselves up to lawsuits if they do. Not that they care...

We can stick to carrying black powder replica guns, and AR 15s without a license. Weird laws.

You're not in trouble the day they refuse to issue the permit, you are in trouble the day that you psychologically accepted the idea that the government had the authority to give you the permit in the first place.

You're in trouble when you get pulled over with an unregistered and unlicensed gun under the seat. It's bullshit, but the prison industry doesn't care.

I got in trouble for my wife's gun hanging unloaded on the wall. And I was not even in the house.

It is beyond bullshit.

This is a half-way measure that the leadership ran with... they were too chicken to bring Constitutional Carry up for a vote

Correct. They ran with licensed carry, even though over 100,000 Texans signed petitions for unlicensed Constitutional Carry. No thanks to the NRA and Texas State Rifle Association lapdogs I must add.
