CALIFORNIA PASSES BILL FORCING PRO-LIFE CENTERS TO PUSH ABORTION

by WILLIAM BIGELOW26 May 2015260
On Tuesday, the California State Assembly passed AB 775, known as the Reproductive Freedom, Accountability, Comprehensive Care and Transparency (FACT) Act. Authored by Assemblymembers David Chiu (D-San Francisco) and Autumn Burke (D-Los Angeles), the bill states that the act “require a licensed covered facility, as defined, to disseminate a notice to all clients, as specified, stating, among other things, that California has public programs that provide immediate free or low-cost access to comprehensive family planning services, prenatal care, and abortion, for eligible women.”

Not only would the bill require some pregnancy centers, specifically those devoted to pro- life causes, to advertise the availability of abortion, but it would also fine facilities that do not comply. The bill states that it would “authorize the Attorney General, city attorney, or county counsel to bring an action to impose a specified civil penalty against covered facilities that fail to comply with these requirements.”

The California Family Alliance attacked the bill in April, writing:

“They are now pushing new discriminatory regulations that would force local Pregnancy Care Centers and Clinics (or PCCs, which provide free and confidential support services to pregnant mothers) to advertise and promote chemical and surgical abortions. Under the provisions of AB 775 (Chiu, D-San Francisco), PCC’s that provide medical services such as ultrasounds would be required to refer all clients to Medi-Cal programs that provide free abortions. In addition, any non-medical centers that offer free counseling, pregnancy support, and parenting classes would be required to post signage stating they are ‘not licensed facilities.’ Both types of PCCs would also be coerced to include such statements in all advertising.”

SB 775 was sponsored by Attorney General Kamala Harris, NARAL Pro-Choice California and Black Women for Wellness.
A joint release from the office of Assemblymember David Chiu and NARAL Pro-Choice California, Harris was quoted saying, “California has been a national leader in promoting and protecting equal access to the full range of women’s reproductive health care options. The Reproductive FACT Act will ensure that women are empowered to make informed and timely decisions about their health and their bodies.”

Amy Everitt, state director of NARAL Pro-Choice California, echoed that statement, ‘Today, the Assembly sent a clear message that women deserve information to help them make the best health care decisions for themselves and their families. With this vote, California leaders are demonstrating to the rest of the country what it means to truly respect reproductive freedom and the dignity of women.”

The Horrifying American Roots of Nazi Eugenics

California was considered an epicenter of the American eugenics movement. During the Twentieth Century's first decades, California's eugenicists included potent but little known race scientists, such as Army venereal disease specialist Dr. Paul Popenoe, citrus magnate and Polytechnic benefactor Paul Gosney, Sacramento banker Charles M. Goethe, as well as members of the California State Board of Charities and Corrections and the University of California Board of Regents.

Eugenics would have been so much bizarre parlor talk had it not been for extensive financing by corporate philanthropies, specifically the Carnegie Institution, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Harriman railroad fortune. They were all in league with some of America's most respected scientists hailing from such prestigious universities as Stamford, Yale, Harvard, and Princeton. These academicians espoused race theory and race science, and then faked and twisted data to serve eugenics' racist aims.

The more you dig into it,, the worse it gets.

For instance,, Charles M. Goethe (just one of many,, but very influential)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Goethe

Goethe also recommended compulsory sterilization of the 'socially unfit', opposed immigration, and praised German scientists who used a comprehensive sterilization program to 'purify' the Aryan race before the outbreak of World War II. Goethe also funded anti-Asian campaigns, praised the Nazis before and after World War II, and practiced discrimination in his business dealings, refusing to sell real estate to Mexicans and Asians.

Goethe believed a variety of social successes (wealth, leadership, intellectual discoveries) and social problems (poverty, illegitimacy, crime and mental illness) could be traced to inherited biological attributes associated with 'racial temperament'.

Working with the Human Betterment Foundation in Pasadena, California, Goethe lobbied the State to restrict immigration from Mexico and carry out involuntary sterilizations of mostly poor women, defined as 'feeble-minded' or 'socially inadequate' by medical authorities between 1909 and the 1960s.[3][4]

Upon return from a trip to Germany 1934, which at the time was sterilizing over 5,000 citizens per month, Goethe reportedly told a fellow eugenicist, "You will be interested to know that your work has played a powerful part in shaping the opinions of the group of intellectuals who are behind Hitler in this epoch-making program. Everywhere I sensed that their opinions have been tremendously stimulated by American thought...I want you, my dear friend, to carry this thought with you for the rest of your life, that you have really jolted into action a great government of 60 million people

Why couldn't this be a real time photo.

I often read the things that some people are trying to push and it just makes me sick. Just think; there is a large group of people in this country that want to suck the life, literally, out of women. They rally for the killing of human babies, this is one of the practices that one would read about in a history book and ask how could a people be so barbaric, what kind of people would murder an unborn child.
