Become a Rand Paul Delegate! (https://randpauldelegates.wordpress.com/2014/09/02/become-a-rand-paul-delegate/)

"It’s actually fun to become a Delegate! But what does it take?
First, you need to dedicate an evening of your time at Caucus to become an elected Delegate.
What you need to know is the Time, Date, and Location of your Neighborhood precinct caucus.
Each state and county has their own rules for selection..."

To whoever is running the site, I can handle queries for those that want to be delegates in California, I've already started on this even though we're late in the primary.

that's funny. no, I had been a member here for a long time, and lost the password on an email address so there was no recovery of this forum password either.

yeah, mailbox on the forum is restricted. send to admin@randpauldelegates.com
If you have current information for Cali, that would be helpful, as there are questions coming in about it!

My thoughts exactly. I don't trust grassroot "help" anymore. Too many operatives for other campaigns.

Shall we start another "he's catchin' on, I tell ya!" meme? (It was used in '08, but IDK if was used in '12)

Please explain how you thought that Ted Cruz was the next best thing to Ron Paul for a while, given that Rand Paul is philosophically closer to Ron.

I am running the site, and yes - am also admin on RonPD facebook, and ran RonPD in 2012.
RonPD was mostly a, "fly by the seat of your pants type of operation", so we got a head start this time around, and I'm pleased with the results.

Here's some stats from last time:
RonPD had 50,000 unique page views, and at its peak 8,000 likes on Facebook. I'd like to break those records and take RandPD to 5x that.
In many states we were just short of taking the majority at the state assemblies, so this is a huge opportunity for Rand. We need Caucus vets like ourselves to disseminate this "secret information" to the newbies, because it's all very complicated until you break it down.

If anyone wants to contribute their skills, please just let me know. And yeah, I like Cruz. A lot of people do, but Rand is of course better. Please, you have my re-assurances.

If I recall correctly, those that wanted to be a delegate had to submit through the Ron Paul campaign site. This wasn't until Fall or so in 2011, can't remember for sure. For us in New York State, Jim Ostrowski was contacted by the campaign in early 2012, January I think; and we only had so many weeks to make the selections for the delegates here. He divided the task with him and I choosing the delegates for the west and western central of the state and another individual for the east half.

Now this is how the procedure for NYS, not a caucus or a state RP had targeted for campaigning in.

Becoming a delegate isn't something that you simply apply for through the Ron or Rand campaigns, or anyone else's for that matter. At least not in Caucus states.

It's useful to sign up through the campaign to coordinate and network among other supporters, especially county coordinators - however the campaign has little to nothing to do with people actually becoming delegates. It's all up to the individual to go forward and do it within the party structure.

In some states, the Ron Paul apparatus had actually interfered with grassroots slates, and made deals sprung last minute which disparaged and alienated core support. If you want to be a Delegate for Rand, please just make sure you register Republican, so that you may participate at Caucus. When is caucus? A lot of tentative dates right now, but fortunately the green papers site has a handle on it right now.

Feel free to wave signs on street corners, and hate on the other candidate's supporters. I'll be here training people for the RNC where it counts.

Ron Paul delegates got hosed pretty bad the last time around. I'm sure many here recall all of that the way it went down. Of course, becoming a delegate is a great step in the process but just watch yer six, people.

Not a reason to not be a delegate though, it is crucial to win the beauty contests and participate as a delegate. If Rand can win the nomination and have liberty people be delegates, we can have some real fun at the RNC.

You are not familiar how it worked in our state.

Your insults to people is part of the training you are going to teach? You sound like Rocco Lucente, he talks like that. Did you train him?

Do tell how your state worked. Updating the information from 2012 is about the highest priority task we have on our plates right now.

Highly unlikely.

Wait for the official campaign to announce a delegate plan. They wouldn't have anything this early.
