from a meetup email i just received:

We need as many people as possible to fill the downtown area on Saturday evening when Ron Paul visits Greenville. Everyone please spread the word to other groups you are members of and get as many from out of town to come as you can.

Announce to other groups that Ron Paul will be speaking at 8PM at the Peace Center Ampitheatre in downtown Greenville (300 South Main Street, Greenville, 29601). He will speak for about 30-40 minutes and mingle with the crowd afterward. This is a very important rally and we need everyone to attend!!!! Let's have more people than we had at the July rally at the Expo Center. We can do this! The campaign is kicking into high gear now and we cannot let our momentum slow one bit. This is too important for our country and for our personal liberties!

Get on the forums you are members of and spread the word there too! Post flyers around campus, etc. We need people from GA, NC, FL, TN, VA, everywhere feasible to be here. Anything you can think of to get people downtown on Saturday night, just do it. (well, keep it legal...LOL)

What time and where?

I don't think I can make it, but . . . about how far is the drive from Atlanta to Greenville?

It's about 2 hours if you stay under the speed limit - straight up 85

I'm going to try to go and bring a friend of mine who lives in Greenville. Is it kid friendly? I have 4 kids that will be with us.

There were plenty of kids at the rally here in Myrtle Beach less than 2 weeks ago

The details are still being worked out. So far, we have reserved the amphitheater from 7 until 9 pm. The first hour may have music or speakers or both… like I said, still fluid ;o) Ron Paul will then be speaking around 8 pm. I believe he has to head out by 9 or shortly thereafter. Hopefully only minor details will change, but keep checking back here and I will continue to share details as they become available.

I can't stress enough how important it is that we have a good showing here, mainly because of the visibility of the venue. It’s right in the center of Greenville; visible from Main St and the surrounding area. It will be impossible to ignore Ron Paul and the reality of his support in a location like this. I want to clog up downtown with Pauliticians! Remember to bring somebody new. Last time he was here, I brought a few democrats and one or two neocons... after the rally they were all die-hard supporters.

Not to fear, every rally I've been to has been so easy, if you get my drift. Everyone is there for RP, it's all good
