The harder you work to convert someone, the more it pays off. And thats is not because you are working hard, but because your audience perceives this.

Anyone can put flyers on windshields. Sure, windshield flyering is good now and then. However, if you take the time to talk to people, they will be much more receptive. Don't be afraid to remind them that you are an unpaid volunteer doing it on your own accord.

Be professional.

Be courteous.

Introduce yourself.

Stick to Ron Paul's platform. Do not begin ranting about something that Ron Paul himself would not speak of.

And most importantly, act as though you care. LISTEN. People are naturally defensive, and they like to hear themselves talk. Let them talk. Ask them questions. Guide the conversation. Find out what is important to them.

And be prepared! Don't be caught like a deer in headlights when a question or argument pops up that you can't answer. This is why it helps to have a buddy with you.

Act enthusiastic, but don't act crazy. Chanting Ron Paul at the top of your lungs in a parking lot with three other people doesn't win votes.

Just use "common" sense, and find out what is important to your audience.

Make sure they know you're doing it for free too.
