Lucid American

The first thing I will do on the morning of Friday the 14th will be to send out a message to everyone I know (but don't work with -- they are introduced when they see my cube) to introduce them to Ron Paul and invite them to pay attention on that Sunday.

It will be some variation of this:

On November 5th, Ron Paul broke the single day GOP fundraising record by raising $4.3 million in a 24-hour period. This was accomplished by contributions from over 37,000 individuals.

Not corporations. Not special interest groups. Just good, old-fashioned Americans.

Consider these facts: in addition to owning this Republican record, Paul has won or placed in the top 3 in 80% of Republican straw polls nationwide; his fundraising has more than doubled every single quarter; he leads all candidates in receiving military campaign contributions; his campaign speeches have drawn crowds as large as 5,000.

And yet you may ask, who is Ron Paul?

He is the truest conservative running and, consequently, the only real opposition to Hillary. His message is positively American: celebrate our differences; be self-responsible; keep our own money while protecting our own sovereignty; keep our soldiers home while instead waging peace through free trade; and most importantly, keep the puppets of government on their rightful strings.

Over his 10 terms as a Republican congressman, Dr. Paul has become our nation’s foremost champion of the Constitution. He has never voted for an unbalanced budget and never voted himself a pay raise nor participated in the lucrative Congressional pension plan. In fact, he did not even allow his children to accept government subsidized loans for college. No wonder the National Taxpayer’s Union named Paul the “Taxpayer’s Best Friend”.

Do not be fooled by those who label his policies “isolationist” in nature; look instead at how isolated we already find ourselves today. A brief look at his writings from his first term in Congress 30 years ago now prove his views tragically prophetic and staggeringly valid, and they weigh even more importantly today. Regretfully, we have failed to heed too much of his wise counsel over the past three decades. Thankfully, we now have the rare opportunity to elect a leader truly worthy of the office.

While the other front runners have peaked already, Paul still climbs. His rise will become even more evident this Sunday's anniversary of the Boston Tea Party, when Dr. Paul will prove he is the Republican candidate who can beat Hillary in '08 by breaking her all-time record for single day campaign fund-raising.

You can see it happen real-time Sunday by checking in at his website http://www.ronpaul2008.com/. You might even feel compelled to contribute a bill to the cause yourself!

RON PAUL. Seriously. It can happen if you stop believing it can’t!
