According to a Department of Justice inspector general report on the use of drones by federal law enforcement agencies, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives squandered $600,000 on six drones that did not meet manufacturer specifications for capabilities such as flight time and could not be used for surveillance, resulting in the cancellation of the program.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Happy that the program failed. Sad that they wasted the money. Concerned that this means they'll just spend more next time.

They won't stop, these drones didn't perform, they will continue with a new under the radar program spending billions more until they
have what they want.
The new generation may not show up for a couple years.
Once the gov gets a whiff of more ways to spy on and kill it's citizens, it will not let up.
The only cure is to defund the AGENCY, whatever the that might be: CIA ATF NSA TSA DHS ,,,,,,,UPS FEDEX DHL USPS (:-).

I have to wonder if the relative of somebody in Washington got rich from that contract.
